TH 7 loot is da best stay for a long, long time. Once you graduate TH 7 you enter farming hell...

after upgrading every defence and troops you should upgrade your th, thats what i do. You dont need to upgrade barracks or dark barracks for now
The loot gets worse the more you upgrade your townhall, i would do the rest of the walls and be sure that the splash defense is maxed aka mortar, wizardtower, and then move on to th8! I would also say that th8 have a good loot so its not hard to catch up there(the doesnt work if you are th9), the problem is i always have good loot so i don't know why people are complaing, they are maybe not maxed or dont know how to farm. Anyway th8: 1250-1450 for farming.

My advice is the same that was given to me when i went to TH8. Max everything, including storages, gold mines, elixers, walls, defenses etc.
I max'd ... and glad i did. A newbie 8 has poor loot, and you're easy pickings for higher 8s and 9s. Upgrading lab is 1.6 million. Higher level walls...half mil apiece. DE pump...1 mil. Upgrading your new stuff...millions.
Max it all. You get hit, no worries because you'll regain what you lost with your gold and elixer mines/pumps. You may grumble because of that last stretch as a 7, but you will be smiling after the upgrade to 8 ...
Good point, all the more reason to Max everything before upgrading the townhall, thanks for your input
