RESERACH DILEMMA - With a Clan Wars Perspective

Hi Guys.

So Im just about to max TH8 and have the following research dilemma.

My troops left to upgrade is as follows:

Dragon to L3

Pekka to L2 & L3

Golem to L2

Rage Spell to Max.

I need to put something in the oven tonight and need to know which of the two, Dragon, or Pekka will you do first.

During Wars I basically Hog with my L4's but Dragons could be a decent troop to exploit for Wars.

On the other hand, I'll need the Go(variations) for TH9 and I'll need a suitably leveled Pekka.

So, Dragon, Pekka or Rage first in the oven tonight??

Dragons they hold up a better dragon raid then and then u can do your pekks, golems and rage after as the pekkas and golems work with GoWiPe, and Rage works well at level 4 anyway... (My thoughts and plans when th is done upgrading

I'm 6 staring TH8 in this war with mass dragon, so I suggest the dragons.

I have a similar dilemma few days back....

leftovers:

drag lvl2->lvl3
pekka lvl1->2
valk lvl1->2
golem lvl1->2

But I had 30k de... so valk and golem had to wait..

My lvl1 pekka had never done more damage than 25 barbs or archers ... but my lvl2 drag had

so drag it was.

Before this ... i had maxed all my spells after tier1 troops... i believe we should max our spells asap.

About lvl5 rage and heal.... I use it together on giants and wizz.... to fetch DE even from the belly of a th10.... max rage and heal really help u then.

It depends on your application .... I attack using many troop formations .... so I really love to max every spell.

Great input.

I need to DE hunt for my BK (need 75K to get him from L8 to L10) so the Rage Spell has actually jumped up the pecking order a bit.

We only plan on another war after the easter weekend, so I could either have a Rage ready and waiting, or a half baked Dragon.

But its all so tempting....

Before I was very nonchalant about it, I knew if i was Barching for Gold, I would pick up 30K over a week, but now the aim is DE hunting now that Walls are done.

Iv seen variantsof Giants Healer with Gobs. But thats meh (th6)

Honestly you probably dont have to upgrade pekka ever! since th 8 i have never been invaded by them nor have i ever used them efficiently or seen them used efficiently. Theres just better/cheaper options all around then pekka. its more a novelty in my opinion

The spells on the other hand are something you will use all the time i suggest those first.

dragons are another good option because they are the best to donate to clan castles/clan war castles since they can fly. theyll take out heards of giants without any retaliation. my clan loads everyones clan war castle with one before every clan war and we are 3-0 now.
