    My trusty TH7 base....goodbye my friend! Hello TH8

    Hi clashers, i have just moved up to TH8, and wanted to share with the community,the base that served me so well in TH7. It doesn't have any fancy names, i never took pics of defense wins, or any youtube videos. But, it did an awesome job!

    It was designed by me, but got inspiration from the tempest TH8 base.

    Features include centralised clan castle, triangulated mortars, seperated resource storages, protected Air Defense. Plus lots of areas to fling and kill giants! One of my last defenses was 26 level 5 giants, amongst other troops, managing just 30% and stole 462 gold, no elix, no dark elix (trophy mode).

    i hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

    May I ask why you have barracks inside your walls and not collectors? With collectors, at least you'd protect something somewhat significant.!

    Nice! The one downside is the 3 lightning on AD and WT followed by a mass air mauling (of course mass hogs too, what to do at TH 7) but it looks solid.

    Well, firstly, I've never really relied on pumps/mines as a regular resource income, as i only play this account on an adhoc basis, my farming is my main source of income. Secondly, pumps/mines have higher hitpoints. To me, the longer an archer or barb, spends on the outside of the base, them more chances my defenses have on picking them off!

    In the 6-8 weeks i spent at TH7, i had no lightning attacks on either? I was also never hogged? Spent most of my time in silver 1/gold 3.

    hi, is the southern side of the base is strong? i find it quite easy to reach the core thru there

    Yes actually, after giants hit the springtraps, and they start destroying the hidden tesla, they are getting pounded by the wizard tower, archer tower and cannon at either end. I have used this base in my last two wars, both times my attackers only achieved 1 star. There are three other players in my clan using it too, all having great success. The clan is Dead of Knight. kaos, kaeleenee, trinn and connor all using it.

    Ah that probably explains it, not as many hog/mass dragon attacks at that level but guessing someone using this base would see lots of Hogs in CW if you have higher level opponents.

    I like the clustering of air bombs in tight to the center to mess up a big dragon/minion raid (what I often use for CW). Definitely something that would get hogged at higher levels but otherwise a very solid base design!

    As far as no lightnings I bet that would change a lot in CW. The first thing I see looking at that base is lightning to take out WT and AD and many others would very quickly see it too. But as mentioned a very nice design.

    Another justification would be that if his collectors were inside his walls, and gobs targeted it, they'd be one step closer to his core.
