Well, I'm currently TH7 with a 200 army capacity. I need a good raiding composition for farming AND trophies (mostly for clan wars) including what spells to bring (up to 3). I'm at 1530 trophies if you need to know that. Most of my troops are maxed out for my TH (except balloons, healing spell and rage spell which are 3). I do not have a barb king or a dark barracks yet. I will probably drop my trophies soon so I can farm easier. But I would still need a good trophy comp for clan wars. Thanks in advance.
Clan War attack is usually closer to trophy hunting army composition than farming army composition.
If you use the farming army composition for regular attacks, you need to switch the composition. On top of that, you REALLY need to scout potential targets(1 up or down from the recommended target give to you) because not every army composition is 100% perfect against all bases.
That's where Clan Wars really shines, in its ability to teach people how to attack by reading the base layouts and studying them.
For example, on your 1st Clan War attack you could be going against a base with heavily upgrade walls and ground defenses but not very well upgraded air defenses. In this scenario, you could go with something like 30 balloons, 2 giants, 5 minions, 5 barbarians, and 30 archers.
Another example is badly structured layout that has not too many compartments and no too high level walls. In this case, you could use something along the lines of 16 giants, 1 healer, 6 wall breakers, 40 barbarians and the rest as archers. Maybe a few minions to trigger air bombs.
As far as spells go, it all depends on the base you are attacking. Was this base attacked before by someone else? Watch the replay and see what's inside the clan castle? I usually do 1 lightning, 1 rage, 1 heal unless it's a dragon inside the clan castle then I use 2 rage, 1 heal.
1 lightning takes out all clan castle tier 1/2 troops if they are lured and bunched together. 1 rage on 20-25 archers takes care of the dragon(make sure to spread them around the dragon).
But if you really want a "lazy army" i.e. one size fits all, you want to use just barbs and archers, with all healing spells. Maybe 1 lightning, if you don't like killing clan castle troops with your army, but at least 2 heal spells to combat splash damage.
For farming, this is as good as it gets without minions, your aim is to not use spells.
For clan wars / pushing, you just need to deal with CC and any king, then take some outsides and also push into the centre to get the TH, using heal to keep your barbs alive under splash fire. You are unlikely to 3-star any decent TH7, but should get 2 stars easily. You should easily 3-star any TH6.
This is pretty much what my daughter's TH7 does, with 195 troops. It's quick and cheap, easy to use, and reliable (I've seen her lose a few battles using giant-healer; she never loses with b-arch).
