    Upgrading walls without buying gems!!

    The question is simple.
I've got a th9 with walls at lv7. When I'll finish upgranding defenses should I spend effort on upgrading till lv10 before levelling up my TH to 10. I read somewhere lv10 walls need about 2 milion each (and 1 million for 9). Thinking about how long it took me the upgrade to lv7, This is driving me crazy.
I don't want to buy gems and a lot of people say that lv10 or 9 walls aren't so usefull beacuse a lot of players usually attack with hog ryders or ballonion.
    What do you think?

First thing first. Lvl 10 walls cost 3 million. Secondly. Lvl 7 walls are still too weak.
The main reason people said everyone uses hogs and balloons is your layout is very weak to those attacks. Once you get pass those layout issues and your proper wizards/air def levels your main problem will be GoWiWi, GoWiPe. Which higher level walls will slow them down significantly.

It took me two weeks when I was in th8 to fully upgrade all my walls from lvl7 to 8 btw.
Walls are still worth to upgrade for me in my opinion.

What's the point of a forum if no one even explains to you why your idea sucks?

I'm always farming in gold 3. Now I had moved on to gold 2
My troops are always 10 giants. 60 archers and 80 goblins together with 5 wall breakers with one healing spell on standby for emergency plan.
I always attack player with combined loot of at least 300k or 200k gold when my research is all done.

Of course somethings like trying to not use all your troops when attacking to speed up the timing between raids.
Typically one raid is ranging from 22mins to 10mins from another.
I remembered upgrading one to two wall every hour? haha. Seems slow. But I managed to get it done somehow!

How did you manage to get them in two weeks? It took me nearly two months to rise to lv7.

It means I really suck at farming ahahaha

Thanks for the answer, I think this is actually a good point. But also this means I have plenty of time to rise walls beacuse like I am now I can't get farther than Crystal 3.

I think I'm going to upgrade all things that need Elixir first so I can concentrate on farming gold.

Good luck! For me I always have a golden rule for raiding when I still have elixir stuff to upgrade.
Always aim for 2-3 times your elixir cost! So for me. Cost is around 50k without spell and 75K with spell so my typical raid is around 150k elixir.

I think if u have finished maxing every building you should move onto the next TH. Dont have builders idle just so that you can do walls.

Id tried and get lvl8 walls if you can.

Thanks for the answers. I came here for walls but it's clear what I have to improve is my farming strategy.

I've just read a lot of stuff which was actually quite usefull like having barracks working non-stop. I've never thought of that as a way of acelerating training.

I'll change my way of playing CoC. As I am now, I couldn't even rise 5 walls per day at level 8. I farm about 1,5 million of Elixir, 1 million of gold e 2k of DE per day. Hearing you, I feel a little bit doscouraged. I even thought I was good.
Italian people say "better later then never" (meglio tardi che mai).
