I understand this isn't smart because you are missing an opportunity to getting more stars off of other bases. But what if you have like 30 minutes of the war, and you are winning by 20 stars? Surely, it would make more sense to attack the higher level base to get a bigger war loot bonus! Thanks for your feedback!

1) You both get the full bonus on it. If you have a big lead it's pretty smart to hit the easy top bases for the bonus.

2)You still get the full bonus just by getting a win.

As you said it is a really bad strategy to win the war, but if you have a big lead it is worth it to hit the top couple easy bases for the bonus.
