At the moment I am a level 2 silver clash of clans player, and am trying to upgrade cannons, collectors and train troops at the same time, and I always seem to be short of cash and elixer. I am wondering, should I upgrade my level 7 collectors to level 8 or upgrade my level 6 collectors to level 7?
Also if u have any other tips at all about expanding my village, please share and it will be greatly appreciated!

U have to raid more , raid smart .collectors loot are pathetic .
I myself stop all my collectors lv at 5 . And started to max them at th 7 when I maxed out everything . I raid alot . So I would rather use my builder and resources to upgrade defenses and offenses than to waste time on collectors . But if your not active and raid little .. go for collectors upgrade .
I raid loads though that's the thing :/ and I never have cash or elixer. I have a storage capacity of 502 000 in gold and elixer but I think the most gold I have had in, I dono the last 2 months is probably about 250 000.

Attack vs Defense... Attack is way to go... You will be able get more resources if you have better troops and Heroes, and larger camp... Try to max offense, and then max your defense and walls, and then go to the next TH level... And then start all over again...

Find bases with 100k+ gold, raid like that for 5 times and now your gold storages are full.
For elixir, use barbs and archers. Find 100k+ elixir bases, and you'll be worrying where to put the excess elixirs .

Got lvl 10 collecters at th5, lvl 11 first thing at th7. It can't be overstated the importance of upgrading collecters. Sure it takes a while but the feeling of waking up and collecting your 60k+ from each collector is amazing. Upgrade the lower lvl ones first.
Th9 ftw! Farming like a boss! Rockin those lvl 7 walls! I think they're cool okay?
