It is more probable something changed in the app then multiple ISPs changing their DNS/port settings at the curiously coincidental time the CoC app was updated. Are we sure a new/changed port is not being used?

Everyone here is able to use port 9339 in the port checker web app, and everyone was able to use CoC before the war update was installed.

Anything is possible, but a lot of the time during an update, Amazon moves things around where the server instances reside. If your DNS is stale, or using a cached copy, sometimes it can't direct itself to the proper place.

I've seen some users on their home network who have put in manual DNS entries years ago, but the ISP updated their DNS servers and users may be using stale entries.

Many of the steps in that link I gave like resetting router, turning airplane mode off/on, or in one case last summer with an ISP in Canada, using Google's DNS entries can solve it.

The majority of the folks are all using one ISP in Spain I think it was, I'd be willing to bet those folks are all having issues at the ISP level. Some others may not.

I checked netstat on iOS and Android and saw no new ports besides 80/443/9339 - but ports are only one part of the equation.

Thanks Twister. It could be a stale DNS entry...

I did try switching to Google's with no success too.

Would you happen to know the DNS entries it uses and the corresponding IP address they should resolve to?

I don't think it depends from my ISP (Vodafone) because other people of my clan use Vodafone to connect and play.
I can play Boom Beach without problems
It's a bug, they fixed it for wi-fi connection but not for mobile data (at least for my mobile data )

Unfortunately it seems like a series of ISP blocks, other things with your network provider etc. It looks like you will need to get in touch with them, some cases they are blocking ports during a time period.

Hi, thanks for your attention, i don't think it can depend from my ISP, i try to access in various hours/days, it's stuck in starting screen. Even now i can play Boom Beach but not CoC with mobile data. Everything started with clan wars.
Other members of my clan use Vodafone as me and they play without problems. Today's update didn't solve the problem

This is not an ISP issue, if I enable wifi on my android phone and connect that to my home network, it works just fine whereas my iPad on the same wifi connection does not. How can an update that creates a problem that was not there before suddenly be the fault of my ISP ? I don't believe that SC would issue an update with such radical port changes, knowing it was likely to cause connection issues, the fault is clearly a bug on the server. If they have modified the way the ports are used then they should tell us what those changes are so that we can fix this problem.
