    there is no need for a double giant bomb, reason is there is a tesla near it and some other defenses that would take away that very few HP they had remaining.

    Unless the guy had a heal spell. Most hog ridder attacks use heal spells after a bomb goes off. With two bomb and a wizard tower the hogs die instantly.

    Will It Work Vs Drags

    The Only Thing That Posses As A Threat To Me Is Drags All My Loses Are Cause Of Drags So Will This Work Against 10lvl3 drags with 1 heal 2 rage or 3 lightning ?
    And If Not Could You Create an Anti Drag Base

    Been using variations of this base in CW for a few months...It's Awesome! Currently using it for my trophy push. Sitting on a shield donating in Master 2. Very few 3 Stars, mostly 1 or 2, which is awesome for a th8. High level Balloonion will wreck it, but I'm a TH8 hoggin' the big boys, so it's to be expected. Great Base Mimo!

    For me: I began playing CoC in October 2013. Went through two clans before finding my home in nFinity where I was in time promoted to co-leader. I like designing bases, even though I've never shared a base design on forums until now. Began working on this TH 8 anti-hog design since clan wars were announced (bringing the need of good transformers base), thinking that there are no any famous TH 8 designs (or at least I didn't have seen one). Well, after I made it, I found out that Orz has already created a pretty good TH 8 anti-hog base a couple of days before I did.... Still, having alternatives is always a good thing. So here it is:

    -Trophy (Clan Wars) version:




    -Farming version:



    -True Anti-Hog version with a double giant bomb:

    Features of the base:
    -centralized town hall in trophy mode for best protection
    -centralized and hard to lure out clan castle in farming mode
    -anti-hog ring
    -centralized air defenses to stop air attacks
    -25/62 (40.32%) of the buildings are outside of walls for harder 50%

    Special thanks go to peabak for creating his "The Ringus TH 9/10" design, that inspired me to create this base.

    Sorry just read the first post and can't be bothered read all pages.
    I just wanted to say one huge NO-NO on the layout "Mortar - Air D - Mortar" line or "Air D - Mortar - Air D" line.
    Here is what you are exposed to:
    - Air attack (triple lightning gets rid of 1 mortar 2 AD) and easy flatten.
    - Ground attack Triple lighning gets rid of 2 mortar and 1 AD) and easy flatten.

    Never put either of these 2 next to each other is the rule I live by. Especially since a gazilion amount of clasher (even more so at your league) use Giant/healers.

    I've used this layout with some minor change as war base for almost 3 months. There's an attackers who used triple lightning spells on AD and failed to get a star. They could get rid of only 1 AD while the remaining 2 were still a threat to their air troops.

    Most attackers usually get 1- or 2-star. Even lvl5 hog users can't 3-star this base. Those who can 3-star are lvl4 dragon with freeze spell or GoWiWi troops.

    However, this layout have a weak point. When half of your outer-ring was destroyed there's not enough firepower to protect your core/town hall esp. against AQ.

    The more inexperienced you are, The more you want to show off.

    Thanks! Hope it serves you well, though I notice the mass dragon users' skills increased by much nowadays due to wars and I've seen mass dragon users 3-starring my base.

    Yep, heal spells are the reason to leave the double giant bomb, but the original design now works better than before.

    Hm, I think a skilled mass dragon user can 3-star this base with 10+1(CC) dragons. I think moving the outside buildings further away from the walls could be helpful against the drags as well as putting the air defs in the middle layer, which will break the otherwise not perfect (but still doing a good job) anti-hog ring.

    I agree with the mortar part, but disagree with the air defs part. Three lightning spells are unable to destroy 2 of the air defenses of this base, or need to be pretty perfectly placed to do so (never seen it happening, never heard of it happening). Regardless, I'd be happy with a CW attacker using all their spells on my mortars, leaving theirselves with 0-1 spells (TH 8-9) for their initial attack.

    Well, every layout has its weak spot and this is one of the reasons why this game is so interesting. I've seen this base 3-starred several times, even by TH 8 attackers who showed some skill (not going to comment on their strategies for obvious reasons lol). As for the AQ, even many TH 9's can't defend effectively against her, especially when she is well guarded... and literally no TH 8 could defend against GOWIWI.

    Dont see how any of those bases are anti hogs?
    Cc easy to lure in any of the pics with a few hogs.
    double bomb is very obvious and could set a bomb off with one hog...then attack.

    Hate to be negative but im a hogger from way back with a th8 account and hogging this base would be a walk in the park to a decent hogger

    but nice base still
