I see the problem presented by the OP, especially since the person buying isnt following but keeps going by the last helper. I had one a while ago as well but he has departed willingly (I guess he just got helped by others :P), no special tactics were used.
As for followers etc, mine are mostly in the low 15-30 ish levels and while some might find that annoying I adore these *starters*. They apparently love my constant selling of low level stuff (I do make a lot of breads/popc etc :P) and I sell loads of animal produce at semi discount prices. My idea on those items is just depleting silo/barn and some profit+xp and who buys those I simply couldnt care less. In return for me often helping them with boats like 40 corn, 11 milks etc or whatever else they need (and I dont care about loosing lol :P), they often throw those same low level items in their shop with the added bonus of them not using as much sugars/dairies. Basically I can buy their overflow sugars/dairy and make them some cash for buying up other items/crops. Its a win-win, I get to restock items I want, they get the money they need .

    EDIT:
Btw when a randomer from DD helps me in a particular helpfull fashion (for instance a long to produce cake or jam), I also like to buy to buy out their shop of *undesireables* like chilli popcorn etc. Would that constitute me as a stalker as well :P?

Having had someone persistently stalk my stand after I helped them with their boat, I feel your pain, rachrabbit!

I had to wait it out, too, and when I must have been about to drop off my stalker's latest helpers tab because he/she started following me - but never helped my trees or boats and always had an empty RSS. I was thrilled to delete this person from my followers tab. They never showed up again. Goodbye and good riddance!

Although I understand anyone can buy anything (and everything) on my RSS, like you, I like to see my friends and neighbors get some premium items for all the help they provide. For this reason, I went from helping anyone I could to almost never helping unknown players.

Your strategy sounds like a good way to discourage them while waiting them out. Good luck!

Precisely the reason I don't help random farms in the DD anymore. Way too much potential baggage to deal with. I understand the OP's frustration...helping a stranger with no possible way of getting rid of him/her unless she falls off the last helpers tab. We can unfriend someone and delete a follower who aren't compatible with our playing styles but there isn't a way to block someone u just helped in the DD...there really should be though...SC should look into this. So if having a potential stalker is ur issue, don't help in the DD...at all.

Not unless you deliberately keep them on your last helpers list for a long time and constantly buy their stuff. This person has kept me on his or her list for 1 week. Usually, last helpers list changes such that no one person is on it for more than a few days. This person buys from me every day and several times a day, surely he or she will need to flag for help at some point.

I often buy a token item from a helper's RSS as a way of saying thanks and acknowledging the help - especially if they are not a neighbor, meaning I can't just use chat to say thanks. And I'll check back later to see if they need help and I can return the favor.

I do not have a give-and-take cooperative relationship like that with my followers -- how can I? if they are not in my NH, and not on the forum, then I can't communicate with them.

How do you KNOW why they help you? Are you sure that they help you BECAUSE of what you sell? The game is designed to INCENTIVIZE helping neighbors by awarding XP, coins, achievement points etc. Helping is part of the game, and they are playing the game in exactly the way it was designed.

Perhaps they are helping you because they are good neighbors and not because the appreciate what you have in your shop. I have never made a decision to help or not by what was in another's RSS -- my decision is all about what is in MY barn and can I find those trees that need water?

Shop goods are irrelevant in my decision - are you sure it is not the same for your followers?

I still think the best defense for a stalker is not to let them bug you -- your attitude is the only thing about this game that you can COMPLETELY control

I cast away loads of boats since I never want to do sugar/dairy boats and when my stock is to low to fill other items myself I also cast it away. My trees/bushes on other hand get plenty of help :P, everything included I think the longest one can remain on my last helper tab is perhaps 4 days, one week if Ive had some serious bad boat luck or no plantlife to revive .

Ok maybe they are not helping because of what I sell at my rss but I do want to offer some goodies for the help they extend to me. I try to return the favour by helping with their boats or plants whenever I can but I can't possibly keep checking on all their farms to see if they need help so the best way is to just put some premium items for sale for them.
Some followers have even repeatedly helped me with difficult orders like cream and lobsters so even if I have to "suffer" a full barn while waiting for them to buy my stuff, I'm more than willing.

I understand the frustration you feel. As others have stated, everything on the RSS are there to be sold, the faster it gets sold the better as the high rotation means more coins you will get from your shop. To me, I'll just simply thinking that the more people I could help by what they got from my shop, the better. No matter who or what.
The frustration comes when I traded with my NH fellows, some unknown folks even bought the 1 coin wheat I put, . O well...since I don't belong to any NH, right now...I don't have to feel worry about these matters, anymore. Come buy if you want, as then I can put out more to be sold. Business runs well this way. Happy farming!

Right now, we only have a last helpers list so we can see who has just helped us but can't see whom we've just helped. I think we should have a last helped tab and link it to the other person's last helpers list. This means that if I help someone and want to delete them from my last helped list, I will automatically disappear from their last helpers list. If we can already delete friends and followers, I don't see why we can't do this.

I just realized this is not foolproof because that person may have fallen off your last helped tab but you are still on their last helpers list. Nonetheless, I still hope that something can be done about this. Until then, I will never help through the dd anymore...
