I'd say clash has a longer life expectancy than some of its players 👍👍

This is a question i have been contemplating recently. Personally i think a ball park figure of 10 years life expectancy. Sims online was once a very popular game, that has since been shut. perhaps the most telling in terms of life expectancy would be world of Warcraft. At its peak having 12 million global users is down to 7.7million to people looking for something new and different. And in this market, new and differnt is just around the corner and its free! I think where CoC differs is that SC and is gamers have a very open dialogue and they even tailor the game to the wants of the players. Imo i can't think of another game developer that does that? Also another encouraging sign is that often the top 10% of players account for roughly 50% of revenue. Thinking back to the times of jorge yao et al, and the mass exodus of, what in gaming terms are referred to as, whales, to a rival title (fluffy bunny) Super cell has not only overcome that but had since been taken over by SoftBank for a cool $1.5billion for 51% meanin the funding for development and innovation will be there for years to come!

Well not really here is the app ranking over the game's history, it's always maintained the lead - top 2/3 games and seems to be consolidating. This is downloads - the $$ one is even more compelling Clash is not going anytime soon.

Nice Daddy! Yeah as old as Clash is I think that it has such longevity that it is still in its prime. Popular updates such as the last one are proof that it isn't going to "die" any time soon.

Nice chart Daddy, thanks for sharing.

Every game has a lifecycle and some are able to successfully prolong the life through new innovation/expansions and others die a relatively fast death.

Clash has a great balance that appeals to folks like me who like to have a long drawn out game where I get to constantly improve upon my character (or base in this case). They've also found a good mix for the revenue side as well that allows everyone to play for free if they want to or accelerate their progress through the purchase of gems.

As of now the game is at the peak and/or still climbing. At some point in months or years it will plateau and gradually slide, but that slide could take many many years.

So, I'm not worried about them going away any time soon.
