*parts of this thread (such as requirements and rules) are subject to constant change as a clan is a fluid, evolving entity*
Ode is farming clan (which wars once a week) created by me, Johann, and my real-life best friend Mangaloney. We made this clan because we wanted to play with each other in a lax, friendly atmosphere which we couldn't seem to find in any other clans, so eventually we just decided to make our own! This also serves as a clan for my beautiful subscribers because they requested it so much for so long![]()
Requirements
Our requirements are highly flexible and relatively low at this stage as were just starting out, they are bound to constant change as the clan continues to grow in number
and strength.
- must be an active player
- must be mature (mentally/socially)
- must be at least 15 years old
- must speak English near fluently (sorry kids and foreigners)
- must have access to glassboard
- must participate in clan wars
As mentioned before, our requirements are not written in stone, only a forum. If you feel you like you would be a benefit to the clan, despite not meeting our requirements, I gladly invite you to convince me your worthy of our clan's membership in this forum or by sending me a personal message.
Clan rules
- RESPECT your clan mates! Name calling, taunting, and general douche-baggery will get you kicked without hesitation. If an issue cannot be resolved in a quick, civil manner, use an elder or one of the leaders (Johann and Mangaloney) to help find a logical, just resolution to the conflict.
- Donate 100 troops or more per season, no one likes a leech!
- Request as much as you donate. This might sound strange to some of you, but a clan where no one requests is just as bad as one that never donates. Keeping your donation to request ratio around 1:1 is perfect to keep the clan functioning properly.
- Thank your clan mates for troops, especially if it's something very generous. It's part of respecting your clan mates. I understand you can't thank everyone all the time, just simply try your best.
- Ask for things you can make! Nothing's more annoying than some townhall 6 requesting "witches only" or something ridiculous like that. If you can't make it, you shouldn't request it (unless it's an extremely unusual and important occasion). This also means you shouldn't ask for very strong troops all the time unless you donate very strong troops constantly (for example, don't request dragons only and then just donate archers).
- Keep it clean gentlemen. I'm no book burning nazi kind of guy, but if you could try you best to recognize that both kids and adults play this game alike and keep your explicit language and subject matter to a minimum, that'd be appreciated
- Be social. You joined a clan, literally a group of social creatures with similar interests in a social setting, stop the lurking and make some pals! Or at least acquaintances![]()
- Spam is gross. No one likes spam, it's ugly and annoying, keep it out of our clan chats please. That also includes writing with lots of CAPITAL LETTERS. Just settle down and talk normally, if you're constantly screaming you probably were never mature enough to join the clan in the first place.
- Stay active. This means getting on at least once a day to stay up to date with clan related news. If you will be unable to get online for a substantial amount of time, like for a vacation or something, please talk to one of the elders or leaders, if you simply go inactive without first telling us, you will most likely be kicked.
- Leaving is permanent. If you leave in some blind rage of passion, don't come knocking on our door and expect us to invite you in. If you're that emotionally unstable, you were never mature enough to join us in the first place. If you want to make a visit to another clan, that is understandable, but you MUST tell this to an elder or leader. If you don't communicate to us, we will assume you left the clan and you won't be accepted back in.
- Join the glassboard group. Glassboard is a free app our clan used to communicate outside of the clan chat. It is essential you get this app and join our group as soon as possible as that's where we will discuss anything and everything clan related.
- Clan wars etiquette. If you donate something that wasn't requested to a war base, I will find you, and I will kick you! Also, if you do not attack during clan wars or you don't make a proper war base for clan wars, you will find yourself kicked very quickly (unless you have probable cause, which you would need to COMMUNICATE to an elder or leader.)
- Just be a decent human being for god's sake! Bigotry, excessive cursing, discriminatory behavior, or being a general nuisance will be handled with little mercy. This behavior is extremely immature and will not be tolerated.
- Finally, don't take it all too seriously. It's just a game after all. Have fun. Remember that we all downloaded this app for the same reason, to have fun. Let's always keep that as our number one priority.
*If a situation arises that is not directly in conflict with any of the rules, the consequences and actions to be taken will be determined by the Ode Round Table, which is where all of the Ode elders, co-leaders, and leaders meet to discuss clan matters and vote upon which actions to take to continually progress the clan in a positive direction.*
In the end, maintaining communication and treating others with respect will keep you far from the boot. If you ever have any question regarding the clan or it's rules, COMMUNICATE it with an elder, or leader in a RESPECTFUL manner. (Note: Although I will try to warn you plenty of times before you are kicked, if the situation gets extremely out of hand then I will not hesitate to kick immediately, without hesitation, to retain the calm atmosphere we enjoy in Ode.)
The Ode Round Table
This is the heart of the clan. The round table is a meeting place where Ode's authoritative figures can assemble to discuss everything and anything clan-related. This is where we can voice and discuss issues that wouldn't be appropriate to talk about in front of the other members. This is where the decision to kick people will be made, as well as any other large clan changing decisions will be made. Decisions will be made by first having someone voice an opinion or bring up an issue to the other leaders, then the subject will be discussed, and argued over for up to 24 hours. Once everyone is ready or 24 hours have passed, a vote will be taken and the decision will be made without hesitation. Note that the leader and co-leader's vote count as two votes.
Authority
"Can I be elder I have dragons?!" No, no you cannot. Eldership is earned, not bought. An elder is someone that Mangaloney and I trust and have our full confidence in. Giving someone the elder position is no laughing matter. They now have the power to easily and quickly kick someone out of the clan into the cold dark unknown. That is not a power I will entrust someone with simply because they have dragons or any other absurd bribe. If you're begging for a position of power, you're obviously not ready for one. Power is responsibility and any sane person will not accept a position of power without hesitation. Being an elder means monitoring clan mates, regulating healthy clan communication, answering questions on the spot, resolving complex internal clan conflicts, deciding who to recruit, deciding who to kick, deciding who to accept and who to decline, who to punish and who to reward. Eldership is not just a shiny little badge of pride that you can flaunt at the other clan members, it's a responsibility and a privilege that can be revoked from you the instant you abuse it.
Co leaders are not something to ever even imagine yourself being. A co leader is someone who has earned the complete, raw trust of both mangaloney and me. A co leader has the authority to literally destroy the entire clan. A co leader has so much power that mangaloney and I might honestly NEVER promote anyone to that rank, simply because the level of trust and faith we would have to have in them would be almost unobtainable.

Clan wars attacking strategy that we currently use:
Who do I attack?
Go to your war map and check yourself out, you look good dont you? Stop admiring yourself, theres work to do. Count how many spaces you are from the top or bottom on the war map, for instance Im on the top of the war map currently so id be one space from the top. Now go over to the enemys war map and find the player in the same position on the war map as you. For me I would find their top player who is one space from the top. Plan on attacking them for your first attack, got it? (With the recent update, now you can just look at your number on the war map and find the person with the same number on their side)
What if that player has already been attacked?
This situation will happen a lot, do not fret, the solution is simple. Go to the player you were supposed to attack and count up 10 and down 10 from their position. Anyone within 20 spots of your target WHO HASNT BEEN ATTACKED OR HAS ONLY BEEN ONE STARRED is your new target.
Who do I attack with my second attack?
Again, simply find your first target that was in the same spot on the war map as you, and anyone within 20 spaces of them WHO HASNT BEEN ATTACKED OR HAS ONLY BEEN ONE STARRED is your next target. Simple.
Did I miss anything? If I did please let me know! Thanks for reading.
*If you spot a typo, please let me know. I'm a grammar nazi at heart. <3
