Silver Two raiding

Hi guys, first post here.
I am at TH 6 and I have 992 trophies. I have all my soldiers at max level (that you can have at TH6,) and have up to the healer unlocked. The only problem is that I'm pretty awful at raiding. My clan and I were just in a clan war, and I only got one star. Not to mention, I never used good tactics to get to my trophy count.

Am I at too high of a trophy count? Do you guys have any good loadouts in terms of troops to use? Right now I see a lot of TH 7s with purple walls, which are pretty intimidating. My spells aren't good enough to knockout the air defenses, and whenever I try to take them out with giants, I get crushed. I saw that tactic on YT, but it doesn't work for me.

Any suggestions?

Hi!

You have a few options here, and I'd recommend you do them all so you can improve the quality of your raids.

1) Watch some youtube videos on the basics of raiding. It may seem like you know what you're doing, but raiding can be deceiving in that you feel you're doing well but you really aren't.

2) Lower your trophies down a league, try Silver 3. This should be a good range where you should be able to find people you can take.

3) How often are you nexting? Maybe you aren't being picky enough. You should generally spend at least a few thousand gold finding a good base you can take on -- don't be afraid to be picky.

4) What composition are you using? I assume by your words, Giant-Healer? I don't like Giant-Healer, but many do. If you are farming, I recommend the simple BAG (Barbarian, Archers, Goblins). For pushing/clan wars, try a mix of Archers, Giants, Wall Breakers, Wizards. Giants are great meat shields for Wizards and Archers, send them in and let 'em soak up damage while your Wizs and Archers take buildings down!

5) Last but not least, are you in a clan of very high level players? If you are a low level player in a high level clan, it may be difficult to find opponents suitable for you during Clan Wars. Consider this.

Silver two has dried up since a few months ago... Go up to silver 1 and use giant healer strategy.

I'm with a friend in a clan that has 50 members and 14270 trophies. We have one person in crystal. We are pretty much a farming clan, our clan leader is only in bronze, but has a really good base. I generally do good on defense, so I gain trophies from that.

I usually only watch playclashofclans, but I know of others like Simon Tay and Daddy. I'll check them out to see if they have guides. It's just that they are so much of a higher level, most of their stuff doesn't apply to me.

I don't raid too often, because I'm trying to max my base before going up to TH7, but when I do, it's not pretty. I don't next too much because I have very little patience, admittedly. It's just a real pain to find the right base, especially because I don't really know what the right base would be like. I want a base that has 100k of each, but not too difficult.

As of right now, I use giants, archers, and wallbreakers. I just unlocked healers earlier today, so I haven't used them yet. On my second battle, I got like 20% in the clan war. I used Giants, balloons, and archers, and a healer, and it didn't work too well. I even used a healing spell on my giants and a lightning spell on one of their air defenses. I'm not really sure where it went wrong.

Try searching Flammy's youtube, he does a lot of lower level videos that show many basics of raiding and things of that nature, very specific and in depth. And definitely try to have more patience when searching, it pays off in the end. Keep experimenting with strategies until you find one that works.

Thanks for the channel. I looked him up, and he does a lot of defensive videos (at least, that I have seen.) I found a TH6 raiding video but that was from 2012, before dark elixir and lots of other things. Do you know if he has done an updated version?
