Just read all your delightful posts and am once again overwhelmed by your kind words and support of me and my ideas! Thank you all so much, would love to reply to all of you but then this response post would be GIGANTIC lol.
I appreciate all of you responding to the negative post and having my back hehe. I will ignore the haters as you say, although there has only been one negative post so far and I'll respond to him first!
First off, I'm trying to tell if your post was sarcastic or genuinel real. If it was the latter, here is my response:
A. Simple, it doesn't take that long! Next response.
B. Please name the other flaws tht you have found in the Share feature. The only one you mention shows you didn't read that section. If someone shares a layout, you can save it but only use it if you have the same types of items (levels don't matter). If I am TH9 and save my friend's TH9 base, chances are pretty high that we have all the same items, even if they are different levels. Once I use the Layout, the picture will update accordingly with my level of items. make sense? If it doesn't please let me know.
C. True! Good thing SC has amazing programmers to put ideas into the game and make them realities. Someone posted a similar comment about my Village Edit Mode thread and 3 weeks later it was in the gameNever is a strong word by the way, check back in a month and we'll see who's right.
D. That sound wonderful, any suggestions?
Fair point. However there are COUNTLESS designs in the game at the moment. And there would still be if this was implemented. Plus bases are being copied already through online sites, although I know what you mean
Thanks Jnelly, haha it was just one guy and I actually think he might have been joking!
Appreciate your comment and to answer your question, nahBut wouldn't that be great! (for me at least
)
Thanks Daddy! And appreciate you letting this sit here for a few days so people can see it. I know there are a couple sticklers out there who this issue matters to a lot/want order, but I think the majority would just rather see this post vs not seeing it.
Great suggestion, and I think that would be a great solution to the issue of Clan Wars bases. It would be a perfect companion to this idea too.
Thanks for the nice post yjagota! Very eloquent and intelligent response I must add, appreciate your genuine curiosity in my proposal and I'll try to answer your questions to the best of my abilities
1. This is definitely a question that has popped up a few times. Basically when you save a shared Layout, you can only use it if all the items are the same, but the levels do not have to be the same. For instance if I am TH7 and I save my friend's TH7 base, chances are we have the same items. Even if his defenses are a higher level, the Layout will still recognize that I have the same items, and place it accordingly. I'd have to have the same decorations and traps though, which you could simply edit out of the friend's base with relative ease. Now if my friend is a TH8 and I am a TH7, chances are he has more items that I cannot get so I most likely won't be able to use his base.
2. Would you mind elaborating a bit on this idea? Do you mean having a Layouts button on Village edit mode instead of the separate window? Thanks!
3. Good point. You would have to just purchase the new items in live mode though (so they go into your Village Edit Mode inventory) and simply edit them in to whatever base you would want to use. That also reminds me, I forgot to add a Delete button to layers. You could Save over existing layouts, but a delete button might be helpful too.
4. Good suggestion and that is actually what the idea already consists of, so we are thinking on the same page! Sorry if it was confusing in the OP, but that's what it is supposed to do (have the error message)!
Hope this helped!!! Let me know if I can answer anything else or if this was sufficient, thanks
Good night all, thanks for your lovely responses and I'll try to answer any questions you have by posting them here!
