    Exclamation Clan War Loot Bonus Should Depend on Stars

    I've seen some solid and simple suggestions for Clan Wars that I agree with. One I haven't seen so far is to tie the loot bonus to the number of stars won in battle.

    Currently, loot bonus is fixed and you get the full amount whether you just deploy a few troops and pick on a base with an unguarded TH or you bring the heat and three star the same base. The latter should be rewarded more than the former. Picking on easy 1 stars doesn't do much to help your side in a Clan War it seems, whereas 3 starring a base is very valuable because it means nobody else need use any of their attacks on that base.

    Here's my suggestion.

    Assume there's currently a base with a loot bonus of 200k/200k/200. With the old system, getting any amount of stars get that exact loot bonus. Under my proposal it would look like this:

    1 star: Loot bonus of 100k/100k/100. You only got one star and therefore get a reduced bonus.

    2 stars: Loot bonus of 200k/200k/200. Not bad, you launched a decent attack and two stars can never be a "freebie" like with 1 star victories. You get the regular bonus.

    3 stars: Loot bonus of 300k/300k/300. You had the best possible result and therefore get an extra large loot bonus.

    Players should be incentivized to get 2 and 3 star attacks, since those are the ones that are really helpful in Clan Wars it seems to me, and I think this rule change would accomplish that with a simple tweak.

    No. This make 3 starring a base two TH levels below you more profitable lootwise than one starring a base two TH levels above you. That is not what Supercell wants... you should be attacking people at your level or higher.

    Perhaps they could introduce penalties for attacking people significantly weaker than you, as they do in normal raiding according to TH. Although that would be more complicated than my suggestion.

    Nevertheless, I think 3 starring a base beneath you could actually be more valuable to the clan than 1 starring a stronger base. One star is all but useless on all but the toughest bases of the opposing clan.

    Currently my clan has an abundance of people 1 starring the same weak/medium bases and getting big loot for it. It is almost like a prisoner's dilemma situation, everyone's ideal selfish strategy is to get cheap 1 stars and hope that the rest of their clans delivers on hard fought 2 and 3 star victories that could actually win the war overall. I'm saying those people, who 2 or 3 star bases roughly equal or stronger than their own, need to be rewarded in game somehow.

    I do think introducing loot penalties on a scale for attacking bases significantly weaker than yours (to prevent what you were talking about) as well as variable bonuses based on the number of stars earned would be the way to go.

    Don't ask for any type of penalties. It's "free" resources coming into game. After a few wars, clans will realize that they need to spread out their raids to maximize stars. No point repeatedly 1 starring a strong base if you lose the war and never see most of the bonus.

    I think this is fundamentally wrong ... the whole point about clan wars is that they are a team effort. As a high level member (leader as it happens) it is my job to try to get even 1 star off the very best enemy bases. The top bases are usually so well defended, I often get 0 stars, 1 is v good, 2 is amazing (3 is unheard of).

    Why should doing the dirty job which nobody wants be penalised?

    If you have clan members who attack way beneath them or who lazily deploy some barch for a bit of loot, sack them! Don't try to mangle war rewards to penalise selfish clanmates, that's what the boot is for.

    That makes no sense because, 50% or downing a Higher TH can improve your own TH faster and makes for basically free loot. That improves players and strategies for war.
