Cool New Base Layout for Intermediate Players

So I am quite new to this game. Been Playing for a few months, something like 3. My username is $er(if you recognize me), level 39 and stuck in Silver II. Since the Clan Wars update came I got raided easily, so I changed my base layout and made a new one, I still need Ideas or if anyone can teach me the strategies of defending your base-where to put your walls, defenses, resources, th, cc, etc. and also attacking/raiding other bases. I am stuck in my life, if anyone can help/comment/suggest it would really help me out thanks, also share your ideas for more fun

When making your base, here's some things to keep in mind:

    1. Clan castle should ALWAYS be somewhat or totally centralized.
Why? If your clan castle is centered, then it's harder to luer the clan castle troops out of the castle, making the troops a more useful tool when they ARE activated in the core of your base where all of your essentials are. Also make sure you're in a good clan that will always have your clan castle filled up.

    2. Wizard towers should be close to storages.
Why? Whether or not you are farming, trophy hunting, etc. resource storages make great tanks to hold back your enemy, and if wizard towers are right next to them, a pack of troops will be stuck on the storage and will soak up all of the wizard tower's damage and die off before moving on. Remember, if you're farming, keep storages inside the core or close to the core.

    3. Mortars have good coverage of most of the base.
Why? If your mortars are able to shoot that large heavy rock just about anywhere someone attacks, then the attacking troops will die off quicker. Air defenses should also have a somewhat similar protection when higher lvl.

Now these are just basic tips, and things that most people naturally follow. Once you get these down, you may experiment and distort as you please. Here are some more often mistakes in base design.

    1. NEVER double up on walls, putting two layers of walls rubbing up against eachother.
Why? Wallbreakers do splash damage and can easily get through both walls in one blow. Instead of doubling up, make COMPARTMENTS. Compartments can or should include 2-4 buildings with a few traps inside if you please. Compartments have ONE layer of walls around them. Make sure that all compartments are attached to the main base/core.

    2. NEVER put one big fence of walls surrounding your entire base.
Why? If someone breaks through one part of those walls, they don't have to work anymore. All they have to do now is steamroll over your base. Army camps, barracks, builders huts, spell factory, and in some cases mines and pumps, and if you're farming, you may want to out your town hall outside as well as it is wasting space and provides a free shield if you get really full on loot.

Also, along with all of these other tips, look at other people's bases from YouTube Let's Play videos. Study their early town hall lvl bases, and learn from them. Most of them know their stuff.

Hope this isn't too long, haha.

Thanks Men, but I still got something on mind, global chat players kept telling me to scatter them resources and barracks around the base, will this help? Or should I put them inside the wall?

mines, pumps, drills and barracks for the most part you want outside the walls but right next to them. This way attacking troops will stop and attack them while they are in range of you'r deffenses inside the walls and get shot up. Do not place them as far away from you'r walls as possible but still leaving no deployment spaces for the enemy. all this does is let him pick off 20% or so of you'r stuff with archers completely out of range of you'r deffences. You should alway's get in the habit of clicking you'r collectors very frequently while you are not shielded so you do not lose many resources.

Now storages, you want those inside the walls, protected as high priority.
