Heroes sleep off attack and not defense?

Ok just did my first clan wars attack. I deployed all my troops. Tossed my heroes out then deployed my CC when I was expecting my pekka I was donated to come out. A bunch of plain barbs and archers came out of my CC. After the battle ended I saw both my heroes were asleep for an hour an a half. Ok clan wars feels far too linked to regular gameplay first off we waste hours of our time on clan wars troops that could go to farming attacks. And our heroes sleep on attack and not defense. And we use our normal base CC troops. Just would like clan wars to be a bit more seperate so I could play normal clash and still do clan wars.

the heros act normal on offense just like your clan troops and spells. when attacking it uses you clan castle troops NOT your war castle troops.

Don't want my post taken like a rant. More like a suggestion I guess. Because I feel like if you want to do clan wars your loot intake is killed. I enjoy clan wars though but you only gain decent loot on the whole clan winning.

it makes it more competitive and adds more loot to the game. win win if you ask me

sounds like they want us to do clan wars instead of break shield. Its a bummer about spells and heros because their regen time is so long

Only adds loot if used. I can see clan wars becoming a rarely used thing in time because people realize the lack of loot they make while using it.
