Upgrading Heroes = No Heroes to attack with in Clan Wars?

I just went to attack and only could 1 star the base because both my heroes are upgrading, I thought that they got set back to their previous level for clan wars?

same thing happened to me. Killed my attack. I would hbpave gone after a different base, but I thought both would be available

They really should make them both available for Clan Wars attacks even if they are upgrading. I have two going right now and always have at least one.

They will be available to defend but your attacks are using your normal multiplayer army camps state

I also had this issue earlier and only noticed after I laid down spells and failed miserably. Hahaha needless to say would have been good to know before hand.

Yup! same thing happened to me! I had it all clear and was ready to send in my heroes for clean up and realized I didn't have them.. Oh well, at least now I know this for the future

Guy guys ! upgrading heroes WILL be available for CW attack and not only defense. Steve said it himself.

But a hero that is healing won't be available.

There are some players saying they cannot use their upgrading hero for offence but for defence only. Anyone have actual experience of the situation?

Edit: I goofed. This was totally wrong and I apologize on behalf of myself and Supercell for any inconvenience this caused!

Apparently you cannot use your AQ/BK on attack while sleeping, and they are technically "sleeping" while they are upgrading. They will still be available on defense however.

Yes, to 100% clarify:

If you are upgrading your AQ or BK and enter the war phase of a clan war, they will be available to you for both attack and defense at the level they are being upgraded FROM. If your AQ/BK are new but haven't completed being built (that sounds weird), they will be available at level 1.

This is incorrect I had my archer queen upgrading and could not use her on attack. When multiple threads and players said they would be available. So just cause he said it don't means it's working right now.
