I have a question. Today I used gems to boost the following:
all 4 barracks
Barbarian King
Archer Queen
Spells
About 5 minutes after the purchase I went to search for an attack and a message came up saying the game was going to be down for maintenance. As of right now, I have lost a little over 1/3 of the time to use my boost. Does anyone know if I can get reimbursed for the gems I spent if I contact supercell and explain the situation?
Sad to inform you sir. I do not believe you can be compensated for gems lost. In the future before you boost you can check the forums or Facebook for scheduled maintenance breaks.

Nope no way to be reimbursed, in all fairness they announced this maintenance break yesterday, so you should of known better then to start a boost.

This happened to me awhile ago, before i boost anything(other than spell fact since i almost always boost that during pushes) i check for the next maintenance break

I didn't go on the forums or facebook yesterday. I sent them an email anyway. Hopefully I can get reimbursed at least the time or something. Or have them throw me an extra gem box lol. I had one spawn directly after the update yesterday. It had 25 gems in it. That would be nice lol.
seriously, they should announce IN GAME, not facebook or forum, does anyone have time for facebook all day or know about the forum?

Wouldn't it be better if sc would pause all boosts during maintenance break?
I do not think anyone would disagree with this. Maybe if you supported a thread or made one in IDEAS and SUGGESTIONS.

Not everyone checks facebook and the forums for clash of clans. Not everyone knows better buddy....
