Can I leave clan and return?

    Hi guys,

I haven't been able to find the answer.

Can I leave my clan during preparation day and return shortly and still participate the same way in the clan war? My son wants me to donate troops to him, and I don't know if I can or not.

    Thanks

He can't visit me if my clan has 50 members...which it does.

    I believe you can

What happens if I leave a clan during a clan war?
After a leader or co-leader presses the “Start War” button, you are free to leave, join other clans and return to the clan to continue participating in the clan war. Your war base will remain in the war map even if you leave, so leaving a clan will not affect an ongoing war.

Based on the information shared before the update I think the following is true...

If someone leaves the clan at any point during the clan war, they will be out for the rest of the war even if they return before the end of preparation day.

I'm curious if anyone has purposefully or accidentally tested whether or not this is true.

See post above - it is confirmed. So DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CLAN during clan war or you will be screwing up your team.

They can return and participate according to the faq that is stickied in this sub forum.

Ignore this nonsense you can leave and return.

    Taken from the FAQ:

What happens if I leave a clan during a clan war?
After a leader or co-leader presses the “Start War” button, you are free to leave, join other clans and return to the clan to continue participating in the clan war. Your war base will remain in the war map even if you leave, so leaving a clan will not affect an ongoing war.

However, you cannot participate in more than one clan war at a time. If you leave a clan while participating in a clan war, you will not be able to participate in any other clan wars until that previous war has ended. Other players will be able to see that you are still part of an unfinished war by checking your profile. You will be marked as ineligible for war until the previous clan war has concluded.
