The way I understand it, if you join a clan after the 'new week' initiates you are not able to participate until the next one. The number of clan members that are in the mix to compete is locked in at the start. Therefore, the answer would be no. Not 100%, but pretty sure that is right.Originally Posted by cooldudeavi
Which is a good thing, because it is a deterrent to clan hopping, which I personally find annoying. Find a good active clan, stay loyal, and help it grow...

Here is I am pretty sure how it works. You get troops and can set your war base during prep day. The troops you get are set and you cannot get rid of some and get different ones. You can also rearrange your base and that becomes your war bad as well. After the 24 hours, you war base is set to what you have it and cannot be changed, so you can go to your reg base set it back however you want and your war base is unaffected. I have no problem with this because the more I switch around my base the better I become at making them. Also, like someone said a lot of people will have their storages outside and forget to put them back in, which will be nice.
so basically, set your base how you want it at the very end of prep day. Right when the war starts go back to your base and reset it to farming or whatever you do.

What a stupid idea and concept. If that stays, no one will play clanwars because of the major trouble you go thru to design a war base as opposed to a normal farming base layout.
That cannot work unless Supercell bring a 2 base layout savings option...which I hope for !

I really hope they are because the way everything is set up now makes no sense.

Actually it is important and I am a high level player who has been playing for a very long time. Now people may ask dumb questions from time to time but so what thats the point of the forum to ask questions and get answers.
I wouldn't be opposed to that either. I am just saying I switch my base around a lot, so it is not as big of an issue for me. And as of right now prep day is almost pointless because everybody just has their reg base set up and are going to change it at the very end of prep day, so prep day is basically looking at other clans bases , seeing their levels and defense levels, and talking to your clan. If the had a specific clan war base it could add a new dynamic during prep. Someone could look at your base during prep and decide it is setup bad and they are going to attack it. So, You could then purposefully set up a bad base and change it last second.What a stupid idea and concept.
