Clan Wars, Teamwork, and Loot!

I made this originally for glassboard to help some of the kids in the clan resource raider. Many of them are fairly new to the game and don't have forum accounts but they say the post on glassboard was very helpful. I'm hoping this thread can also help some of you new guys seeking answers! I'll keep updating this and I know many of you know a lot about Clan Wars, so please give me some of your guys's professional advice/tips/strategies!

Do you want to win clan wars? Yes, of course! Read below for some tips.

Communicate with the members of your clan throughout Clan Wars to get an idea of who will attack whom.

ESSENTIAL CLAN WARS INFO:
Your "War Base" is your village, but you cannot make any changes to your War Base after the preparation day ends, but you can change your village after preparation day and it will not affect your war base.

If you currently have buildings upgrading in your village, they WILL be functional in your War Base from the level it's upgrading FROM. Traps/x-bows/infernos/ will automatically be reloaded in your War Base. The troops you receive from the War Base for defense will also reload after each defense.

If you leave a clan during the war, you cannot participate in another clan's war until the original clan's war finishes. You also cannot join a war if the new clan is already in a war. You can check your cool-down on your profile.

When you attack enemy clan War Bases and win at least 1 star, you will have the potential of winning the war bonus. The amount of potential loot bonus VARIES depending on the DIFFICULTY of the base that you attacked. At the end of clan wars, if your clan wins, then you will get all the loot bonus. The loot will be stored in your clan castle. However, if your clan loses, you get a SIGNIFICANTLY less percentage of your loot bonus, so it's very important to work with your clan and to have good teamwork and communication. It's also possible to have a tie, and both clans will receive less loot bonuses

You/enemy cannot lose any loot if your base gets attacked through clan wars. All the loot you/enemy win is generated from thin air. It's only a little bit of loot, but if you get 1 star, you will receive a huge loot bonus but ONLY IF your clan wins at the end.

You cannot cancel/surrender a War after you have started Clan Wars and found a clan.


☝️DAY ONE: PREPARATION DAY LASTS 24 HOURS☝️

During Preparation Day You Should:

1.Design a base that will protect stars. Make sure to place town hall inside so the enemy cannot get a free star.

2.Scout enemy bases and find a base that is NOT too easy and NOT too hard. Try and find a base that you are confident you can 3 star.

3.Donate troops that people request for. If you do not meet their troops requirements, please do not donate to them. It is crucial they get the troops they need to defend better so the clan can win as a team. I personally will be donating tons of level 4 wizards to the lower town hall levels in our clan.

4.Once you have an idea of the bases you are going to attack, start thinking of army compositions strong enough to 3 star them. Remember, if you fail and only get 1-2 stars, it's more beneficial to find a new base.


DAY TWO: BATTLE DAY LASTS 24 HOURS

Important Information On Raiding:
Make sure to lure out the enemy clan castle troops with weak troops and destroy the cc troops before deploying your army. If you forget to lure out the clan castle troops, you will most likely be surprised when you see strong troops pop out and completely wreck your troops.

Make sure to request for clan castle troops before going in battle; have heros and spells ready too.

During Battle Day You Should:
1.Re-scout the bases you planned on attacking during the preparation phase. They may have made changes to their base design, and you may need to change your planned army compositions accordingly.

2.Train your first army that you plan on using to attacking your planned base.

Don't forget to request for clan castle troops, train spells, and have heros ready BEFORE you go and do your FIRST attack!

3.If you get 3 stars on your first attack, good job! Start training spells and army again for your second attack.

If you only get 2 stars on your first attack, look for a different base. DO NOT attack the base again, because even if you get 3 stars the second time, you're only gaining an extra 1 star. It would be better to get 2-3 new stars on a new base.

4.Once you've used your second attack, congratulations! No matter if you failed miserably or succeeded epically, you have now finished Clan Wars! Cheer on your friends who are still battling!

Remember to relax and have fun during Clan Wars! Watch your teammates defenses and attacks and laugh with them if they had a silly mistake, or praise them for their amazing attacks!

I forgot that computer users won't be able to see emoji, it was originally made for glassboard. I'll edit out the emoji's if it bothers a lot of computer users. Thanks for the feedback!

Yes, very good observation! It can even be used to trick people. For example, setting x-bows to ground and then changing it to air at the last minute to trick people who don't notice, which is why I mentioned in the post to re-scout the base.

Communication and team work is key. We've been sending clan mails and chatting constantly about tactics and plans.

Sadly some of our clan choose to ignore this and have been donating poor defence troops to everyone!

You automaticly have to as there is only one attack allowed on a base by the same person. If you lose a fight than one of your clanmates has to try as you're not getting a 2nd shot....
