A Guide to Preparing for Clan Wars - Things to consider

    "War is upon us.
There is no turning back now.
We need to face our enemy or be crushed.
    "

I have complied a 4-point blog article on How to PREPARE for Clan Wars (Some Ideas/considerations). Together with pretty pictures and videos including some important things to consider and be aware of when your clan gets ready for the war.
This is especially aimed at those of you who are newer players possibly intermediate.

I really hope it helps and I would appreciate it if you could give me feedback or tell me things I should add to the list!

It seems that I have the spectator view bug at the moment, I am also unable to request troops. Rather annoying, I hope it's fixed before our battle tonight!

Thank you for the information. My clan is preparing for our first clan war. My question is this: Do the donated troops to the war base's CC stay on defense and an attack(i.e. if I attack with my CC troops and they die do I not have any troops on defense?)

Nobody has been able to answer me yet.. Will they be there for the duration of the clan if they're killed off?

Asfaik - the troops that get donated stay in the clan castle during the entire war duration. So they will bravely defend your base twice! And you will be able to use them twice in both your attacks.

I am currently unable to attack or train troops from my clan castle we have been 12 starred so far. Still have 14 hours to go.

Actually i do believe you are wrong there.
I have a lovely golom called Derek sitting in my CC all ready to smash the opposition base to bits. On my first attack he wasn't needed as I had enough air power to leave my Arch Queen and my archers out of the battle (something about they might chip a nail or something along that line). On my second attack Derek was needed and what comes out the clan castle, archers and these archers had been donated before my first attack to be used in my "normal game" mode. I havent been attacked yet and probally will not be as the opposition have some inactive players so I have no idea what Derek will do.

Now my question is, can we go to,attack a base and then retreat without attacking and not be penalised or do we lose that chance to attack.

I think something is seriously broken. I am unable to test it out because my villiage is still frozen! Can only spectate my own village.
Still doesn't make sense becuase one can only donate and receive troops on preparation day.

In answer to your question, yes you can back out without penalty (same as a revenge attack).

And with regard to your 1st point the OP is correct and you seem a unclear about the CC function. Effectively you have 2 CCs one for attack (where Derick was) and one for defence. The one for defence sits in your war base and is filled on prep day, after the first defence the CC will automatically be replenished with the troops you had in there previously.

The attack CC comes from your normal village (same as the army and spells) it will contain whatever your clan members have donated to you, it will not be automatically refilled. You will need to request new troops for the 2nd attack.
