Clan Wars Bugs & Problems

Hey guys,

First, let me say: I can't be sure if this has already been posted, but sorry. I am not going to read through 87 pages. Please skip if this issue has been adressed already

So, preperation day is almost over. Our clan, which ranges from Gold III to Chrystal I, is matched with a Chinese clan (who appear to be farmers), slightly lower in trophies and in less than two hours we go to WAR. YEAH!!

Now, I've used the past 22 hours wisely and scouted opponents, and I noticed something weird in the ranking of their players. Now according to the Godson video, the ranking is based on the following things:

1) Hero lvl
2) TH lvl
3) lvl of your weapons
4) stats of your base (walls)
5) number of players

Seems fair right? Imagine my surprise when I see this guy in their second to last spot.

I see I left his town hall out of the picture (he hasn't centered it yet) but this is, from what I can tell, a fully maxed out TH8, defense wise, skull walls, wizard towers and everything. Meanwhile, one spot above him resides a TH9, which frankly looks like it should be a TH7. I can't upload a screen because of limited space, but this guy has full lvl 6 walls, lvl3 air defense, lvl 3 wizard towers, lvl 8 cannons, basically every defensive stat is one to three levels below the guy in the 39 spot. I guess technically it's up for debate because TH level is taken into account, but he has an arguably weaker base. Way weaker.

Where it gets really weird though, is when we move up another three spots. Here we see a TH6. Golden walls, defenses pretty much as high as you can get them in TH6, but still, this guy is weaker than the guy at 39 in every way. Have a look:

Now I just think this is weird. This may not technically be a bug, but there sure is something odd about the ranking system. If all this is the way it's supposed to be, I'd love to hear that as well, but I have a feeling it's not.

Anyway, that's just my two cents. Other than a few issues I love the update so far, so iron these out and it'll be awesome. Keep up the good work!

Would you be so kind as to provide the village name/clan name and/or player ID or these two players? We'd like to take a closer look.

PS One thing might be that the above player gemmed the carps out of his base after preparation phase started. Could explain the weird ranking

Some people from the clan we're having clan wars with just joined our clan and had a look at all the troops we'd stored up, his clan keeps trying...

Updates on common problems and issues

1. Matchmaking and wait times: This should have improved in this morning's maintenance. We are closely monitoring the queue and will make any improvements in the future as needed.
2. "Stronger" players being left out of clan wars, placed in spectator mode: Please read our note above on rankings. This should explain why some players are placed in spectator mode despite having a higher TH. in addition, there may have been some server issues that caused some players to show up as less strong than they are. We are investigating any continued occurrences of this.
3. Unfair/unbalanced matchmaking: We will definitely improve matchmaking going forward to make sure clans are more evenly matched. We started off with the settings being pretty liberal, because we were worried that clans would not be able to find matches initially. This will be constantly improved with every maintenance/update.
4. Entire Clan Stuck in Spectator Mode: Should be fixed with this morning's maintenance, and avoided going forward by NOT PRESSING THE CANCEL button. Please post in our bugs subforum if your ENTIRE CLAN continues to experience this issue. And please note that this is a different issue than individual members being in spectator mode. Inevitably some members will be left out of the war.
5. Individuals showing lower War TH/Base levels than regular in village and in Spectator Mode: This is likely due to server overload issues but we will closely monitor this situation. They will have to sit out this first clan war, but we believe the issue will correct itself in the next war. Please keep us posted as we are closely monitoring this one.
6. Clan Chat Lag: Related to server overload. Should work fine now.
7. Donation Issues: Also related to server overload.
8. Completed CC6 appearing as CC5 in War Base: Also related to server overload, but we are monitoring closely.
9. War Log Button Partially Covers Clan Description Text on iPhone Fixed for the next update
10. Spell Factory Shows too many spells: Example: http://m.imgur.com/LriKAEM - Fortunately this is just a display issue. It counts the troops donate to war base as the amount of spells in the factory in the war base. Funky. Fixed for the next update.

Note: DO NOT CANCEL MATCHMAKING!!! Matchmaking can take up to 60 minutes. By cancelling matchmaking you will go to the back of the queue, and finding an opponent will take even longer.

Keep in mind that you can leave the matchmaking screen, and even log out of the game, while your match is found. You do not need to remain on the matchmaking screen in order to get matched up with another clan.

Known Issues Being Looked Into(No need to post these again)

• Clan Chat Lag - due to matchmaking server load
• "No Opponent" Clan Wars - due to matchmaking server load
• Failed Search Message - not sure

It says for my clan that there is not enough eligible players. Does that mean there is a certain amount of players required to start we only have 7.

our war has the same ranking thing going on. Most of our most powerful and highest ranked bases are at the bottom of the list showing a low th on the map. The other clans big folks are also mostly on the bottom showing low town halls. We cant donate to anyone showing a low th on the map either.

Its really random how the ranking is showing and the 7 folks at the bottom of the list who we cant donate to.

Our battle starts in 2 hours.

Hi,

Unfortunately nothing can be done about this for now. This was a series of bugs from server load to not having the update when the war was started.

Everything will be back to normal for your next war.

Just for your knowldege.....Unfortunately what the mod assumed cant be completely accurate. One of the people in my clan that is showing the 0/0 clan castle on the map, low th level and no war sheild is the leader. He's the one who started the war. It can't be that he updated after the war was started. Infact I'm showing a war shield and I did update after the search started. However by the time the match occurred i think I had the update.

Just wanted to let you know since that message isn't the case for my clan. It sounds like several other clans have their leaders (who initiated the war) in the same position.

First things first, Thx to all the Supercell staff and mods for all their hard work!
ok now issue. I can request troops in war map but nobody can donate to me because it says "player cannot recieve more troops" and my donate to button appears grey to other members, even though my clan castle is empty.
also, I am a totally defense maxed th9, except for walls, and it shows me as a th6? On war map.
