Clan Wars Bugs & Problems

Although everyone can see the "Start War" button after a war ends on the results screen the first time it's presented, and everyone can see the crossed sword icon in the main village view, it still requires a Co-Leader or Leader to activate it.

We looked long and hard when we first got reports of this, and the devs double and triple-checked that is is not possible for anyone but Leader or Co-Leader to activate matchmaking.

Your Elder did not start a war. This will boil down to when unwanted clan members mysteriously enter a closed clan without applying - it's someone inviting them and not owning up to it. Same with a Clan War being initiated. It HAS to be a Leader or Co-Leader.

If you want proof and you're the leader, make your co-leaders Elder for a few war cycles, and you will see you are the only one capable of initiating matchmaking.

I'm having a hard time believing this because to do this would require some extreme incompetence or some psychopathic tendencies in some clans. My clan has about 6 co leaders, long time members and very trusted. We've been stuck in clan wars since day one. We initiated the first clan war... and now we are in our third. The next two no one in my clan claims started. We are going to further prove this after this next CW is over by demoting people to test.

I know you can't take my word for it, but this is a hell of a lot simpler than "loot sux". As far as sneaking into a clan, supercell should be able to provide a log to help us manage when that happens. Here's a simple thing... provide a log of who initiates CW so we can address it with that person as well.

Provide tools to help prove us wrong. CW has been full of bugs, unlike accepting people to clans, so pardon me if I don't believe that it can't possibly be a bug.

I have a hypothesis that at the end of some clan wars, a "flag" is not always being set to say the clan is not being matched for clan wars. That flag is then picked up by another clan that is matching, or is simply picked up by the matching algorithm which runs constantly.

We've successfully went to war the day it was opened but have since not been able to find a match. We literally spent 24hrs searching on two seperate occasions. Unless one of my co-leaders stopped and restarted the process. Anyone else having to wait for hours upon hours without finding a match?

I agree with this member. We only have 1 leader and 3 cos. all of which have played together for a yr. we were all discussing when the next war would be when it was declared on us. His flag hypothesis may be legitimate. Since ive seen several clans claim to be in back to back unexpected wars

Is it possible for someone to declare war on my clan without anyone in my clan searching for one?
i got an alert saying "Notts Castle has declared war on your clan) Could this be done without any of my co-leaders pressing the start war button?

See war being declared on them... Multiple clans saying the same thing

Our enemy map is blank for all of us so the only way to scout is to click the star then click enemy then look at them one at a time. Will we have to attack this way as well?

Hi all,

Ive read the first pages, but have not seen anywhere a mention of the incredibly slow speed of the game now?
Clicking next and then at least 10-15 sec before next battle comes up, clicking a base to check it out taking forever etc
Ever since CW has been launched, has this been addressed somewhere? - Is this the right thread?

Problem: All clan members can donate troops to the war base.

Solution: Update where only co-leaders / elders can donate to war bases.

Alternative Solution: Make a place to dump wrong CC troops.



Seriously everyone has not so smart people in their clan and they donate archers, barbs, wall breakers to war bases.



One more thing, donating to war bases should count for clan donations. I donated 20 L2 witches and tons of L5 wizards!

1. Entire Clan Stuck in Spectator Mode: Should be fixed with this morning's maintenance, and avoided going forward by NOT PRESSING THE CANCEL button. Please post in our bugs subforum if your ENTIRE CLAN continues to experience this issue. And please note that this is a different issue than individual members being in spectator mode. Inevitably some members will be left out of the war.

My entire clan Dalek Prime is stuck in spectator mode and the war has begun.

Any suggestions coc?

I saw the moderator said "you can't decline a clan war". That means the clan war can be started by leader/co-leader of your clan OR being searched by other clans.

I would suggest having a cool down period (perhaps 1 day) after completing a clan war just as the shield for your village after it has been destroyed. Leader may shorten the cool down period with their will.
