    You need 10 Eligible members. Look for the crossed sword icon to the left of their name in the clan screen.

    From the FAQ:

    What are the minimum clan requirements required to go to war?
    The only requirement is that a clan must have at least 10 members eligible for war.

    What does it mean if I have a clan member who is ineligible for war?
    Members who are new to your clan will be ineligible for war if they left their previous clan while a war was in progress. They will become eligible for war again when the previous war is completed. You can check your clan member list to see if any members are ineligible for war, and see when they will be eligible again. If you start the clan war while members are still ineligible, those members will not be able to participate.

    My clan is at it's second war now (preparation day)
    Issue is that we cant view the enemy clan's war map, it's completely blank! I dont know if this will lead to no one being able to attack, or just my side getting bombarded for 24 hours.

    Hope this will get looked in to before D-day. Thanks.

    Clan name is Milky Way and opposing clan is desertores.

    weakened troops....

    My troops are noticeably weaker. What should have been incredibly easy raid turned into a 30 sec loss.. Lv 1 tesla is 2 hit death to my lv 4 giants. All my troops are weakened.lv 1 mortar 1 hit lv 4 barbs. Ect...

    Matchmaking way off

    This isn't even close to fair.
    Not in cups level not in defensive strength not in any way. If anyone can see the logic in this matchup please enlighten me.


    My clan:
    bella maffia.
    16923 cups 34 members


    their clan:
    New Zealand
    20312 cups 34 members


    The first war was about evenly matched. But this is ridiculous.
    Their defensive buildings are way better than ours.
    This should have never been the matchup.
    (Only theory I can think of is that walls are calculated as a defensive structure.
    So maybe I should throw a piece of wall against their infernos?)


    Hope that this will get fixed soon

    Interesting. None of that should be technically possible. Can you or one of your clanmates record your replay so we can review it?

    Need to address issue with inactive players during war

    Inactive players can become a liability for their clans as they provide easy targets to the opposition whilst not contributing to the stars tally of their own clan.

    I'm not sure what would be the best way to address this besides getting into the habit of kicking all inactive players before starting war, but here are a couple of random suggestions:


    • When declaring war, specify the number of participants from that clan that will be fighting. Then, either let the clan leader (or co-leaders) decide who gets to fight or pick the members automatically, either based on ranking or activity.
    • Let the clan leader specify somewhere in the clan setting who he considers eligible to fight on behalf of the clan and let "active within x days" be one of the criteria along with trophy count and ranking. If only 10 people satisfy those conditions when the "start war" button is pressed then only 10 vs 10 wars would be possible.
    • Let each player who wants to participate in a war confirm their participation in the first phase. (This might lead to uneven clan sizes on both sides, so perhaps this could be done in a preliminary phase before the opponent is chosen.)

    Help. War Preparations have begun but unable to see the other Enemy Clan

    We are afraid that when war begins we won't be able to see them also but they might be able to see us.

    Trophies have no bearing in matchmaking. Walls do.

    From the FAQ:

    How is strength calculated in clan wars?
    Strength is based on each member’s attacking power (troops, army camp capacity, spells and heroes) and defensive strength (defense buildings, walls, traps and heroes). Different layouts and base designs do not affect strength. The only way a member’s strength can be changed is if they upgrade their troops, defenses, spells, etc.

    And from the 1st page of the feedback thread:
    A note on how ranking is determined for clan war participants v. spectators
    It is both intended and quite common that players with a higher TH are left out of a Clan War. The ranking is not based on TH level, it based on trophy count, and then the level of defenses. Check out the following explanation of how matchmaking should work:

    1. The first x # of players go to matchmaking depending on their trophy amount and the position in the clan For example, in a 10v10 clan war, if one clan has 14 members, the 10 highest trophied members will be the ones to go to war.
    2. Once a match is found, players are sorted on the map from strongest to weakest, in terms of defence power of their base, i.e., defense levels, hero levels, traps, etc.
    3. We do not take TH levels into account. Instead, we only use overall strength of all defence elements in player’s village. For example, a TH8 with higher level defenses than a TH9 will be ranked higher than the TH9 in the war map.
    4. XP has no bearing on the ranking of your war base on the war map


    as well as:
    Unfair/unbalanced matchmaking: We will definitely improve matchmaking going forward to make sure clans are more evenly matched. We started off with the settings being pretty liberal, because we were worried that clans would not be able to find matches initially. This will be constantly improved with every maintenance/update.



    There is some +/- to the formula, but taking everything into consideration that is factored, it should be somewhat close. Remember, if your oppossing clan all has lvl 1 jump and heal spells, and never upgraded some of their seldom used lvl 6 troops (goblins maybe) or have low level seldom used DE troops (valks perhaps) their base may seem stronger, but since it takes EVERYTHING into consideration, you are even "On Paper".

    Like it says, they will constantly improve the matchmaking and strength calculation formula going forward, so it will get better.
