    Well said, savannah
"I've grown tired of the articulate utterances of men and things. The mystical in art, the mystical in life, the mystical in nature, this is what I am looking for and in the great symphonies of music, the initiation of sorrow, and in the depths of the sea I may find it. It is absolutely necessary for me to find it somewhere." -O. Wilde

At low levels, coins are everything and leveling up more quickly than you can build your coin stash is far more frustrating than pacing yourself. If your wheat sold quickly at lower levels, it was not a hoax but could have been due, at least in part, to one of us at higher levels who helped you build that oh so necessary pile of coins. Two days is really not enough time to appreciate the vast network of generous players who don't eat their young in this game but choose instead to nurture and support new players as they develop their own game goals and find the best strategies for reaching those goals. Take a breath...it isn't the destination that is important but appreciation of the ongoing journey.
I agree with Neen. This is very well said. Especially the part about not eating our young. I too, often buy out shops at low levels when I see that they only have six or eight slots. This tells me they don't have many friends yet and really need me to buy their goods. I don't worry about raiding these small shops because I know they haven't yet met enough people to want to help them. They need buyers and they need money. I have plenty. My question to the OP is "how much wheat have you bought lately?" His answer I am sure is "none, I don't need to buy it I need to sell it". We would all say the same thing most days.

When we all put ourselves in each other's shoes, suddenly things become clearer. There is one person here, who told new folks to plant carrots. He said whenever he needed them he could never find them. I had that happen to me this morning. My boat wanted carrots and I wasn't prepared, but I had every thing else, so I thought , why not? I can buy some carrots. Boy was I wrong. Even Boroyob's massive shop was devoid of carrots. So guess what I am going to go wheating with next time? Yep Carrots.

I am off to read another book. I'll be back in six or seven hours who the new event starts. If it's fishing again, I'll finish the book. Lol. Happy farming all

indeed. I played some of candy crush... but... after reading about their "business ethics" I decided to stop completely.

It's not the same with Hay day. As many other have stated, there's supply and demand, I learned this the difficult way... I too once listed wheat at max price... and it sat there for days, then, I decided to sell it at 10x at 1 coin. That sometimes sold fast ... other's did not... so, again, I was wondering what to do

I then read here, that some people had trouble with bread boats, that's when I decided to wheat and make bread, then, once I had about 20 something loaves, seek any friend that needed bread, if no one needed it, to the DD, a lot of people need it... so... easy gift cards!

when I couldn't find anyone needing the bread? Put it at the RSS, it sells so fast I had trouble keeping it up...

so... instead of complaining about people not buying wheat (I never do, since I have lot's of it), why not make something more useful? bread sells fast, make hamburgers too, they sell fast and will help with masteries in the machines.

Good point. I always make bread while wheating. The other good wheating-fella is chicken feed. Quick to make, consume lots of wheat and corn, easy to sell.

Everyone gets mad. Even i have. I recently did a rant, it was becoming extremely difficult, and even frustrating to try and get a certain land expansion (mallets). It does seem like the game tries to give you a hard time. I've even noticed certain items i see all the time in the newspaper disappear when i seem to need them (boat orders). Does the game want you to buy diamonds? Of course. Is this a "hoax" into getting you to buy diamonds to fill orders/get materials? Maybe. But what you described isn't one. Timing is a big variable. I can sell 10 for $1 and have it sit for hours. Other times it sells quicker then i can keep ads up. Why? I'm doing my 'wheating' during a busy time of the day.

    Wheating-

    1. Timing is everything. It seems afternoon (EST) is the best.
    2. Keeping price low- sorry- no one wants to buy wheat for $36 when someone is selling it for $10 or less.
    3. Keeping ads up- they do go away after so many hours.
    4. And as others have said- make items out of it. Supply and demand is just as real here as it is in the real world. Too many people making wheat and not enough buying. You'll see this with eggs/bacon and other items of that nature.

Been keeping up with this thread...very good advice for the OP, who, by the way, hasn't returned to the thread after their first few posts. Anyone else notice that? Hmmmm.....

Yep. I noticed too. Guess he didn't get the validation he wanted. Hope he saw the good advice though.

Oh my goodness! I thought I was the only one to think it kind of fishy that just when I needed green beans to fill the last of my boat order I could not find a single ad for them in the DD! I thought I was just being paranoid.

I am at level 36 and I can't believe there's so much to the game that I didn't know. I never exactly understood how the RSS works... This is the first time I read about the need to keep your ads running; I had no idea! How do you do this? All I've been doing all this time is filling the slots available to me every once in awhile, and leaving whatever items they are to sit. I had assumed that once I put something in my RSS it would immediately get posted in the DD. am I wrong? And what's the big deal about getting more slots?
