Personally I found that wheat even at 10x for 1coin doesnt sell quick enough, basically to many use this tactic for wheating that it becomes impractical to sell. Sure you can grow crops at a fast pace, but if your silo is full and the shop is still filled with the previous batch it couldnt matter less whether your crop growing is either 2 min to grow or 8hrs. This is why I use wheat for bread (which sells at max price easily) and my *wheating* is done with corn. Somehow I can sell this rapidly enough for it not to accumulate to much .

Especially for a lower level check if you have enough or overflow of animal feed. Chicken feed also burns through wheat and corn so if you dont need the feedmill 24/7 to keep your animals going, stack some additional chickenfeed in it. Same as with the breads, even at max price you will sell these rather quickly. One sidenote though, even though 10x per slot might be favourable to You, the buyer likes his feed in multiples of 3 . [Aka: 3/6/9]
Thats because most people buying your feed will be having multiples of 3 for each animal .

That's pretty smart, sanbantai. Now my silo is big enough to handle plenty of each crop & still have room for a couple hundred wheat, but back when it wasn't this method would certainly have been ideal.

See op, ask & you shall receive...there are so many people with great ideas here willing to share

The mystical in art, the mystical in life, the mystical in nature, this is what I am looking for and in the great symphonies of music, the initiation of sorrow, and in the depths of the sea I may find it. It is absolutely necessary for me to find it somewhere." -O. Wilde

I find it really odd that you couldn't sell nails via the newspaper. Usually they're gone in a blink.

I wonder if there was some kind of bug. Wheat, okay, sometimes that takes awhile to sell, but nails????

    No connection. Other suggestions: Bread

As others have said, no connection with diamonds. I wheat all the time and buy diamonds. My wheat sometimes sells very fast and sometimes it sits. I sell at 10 coins per 10 wheat. Sometimes I have to put up to 5 ads. It is a good thing that ads are now possible every 5 minutes, it used to be 30 MINUTES. So, if SC wanted to scam us, they would not have decreased the time to 5 minutes.

Fatmat, like you I started with wheating and still continue wheating. Other suggestions that I have followed is to make bread and chicken feed with the wheat. They are fast to make and sell faster than the wheat. If I make 9 breads, which is the max slots in the machine, I am getting rid of 27 wheats. Nine breads go into 1 box in your shop, whether 27 wheats will take up 3 boxes in your shop.

    Keep on farming.

I sell wheat at default of 10 coins usually only when my barn is bursting and I have no other outlet to get rid of it because no little people asking for it and all machines booked. Otherwise, I don't bother because, like you, I never seem to have the luck so many have in selling it. Even advertised, it hangs in my RSS forever and ever and ever.

But...I makes tons of bread and chicken feed that flies off the shelves at full price, very often as I'm still loading, and I load several times a day. I have neighbors and followers who depend on me for chicken feed, and literally pounce on my RSS to get it. So, that's my suggestion, same as many others...put that wheat into bread and chicken feed. It only take a few minutes more than wheat itself, uses up more wheat than you can sell in your RSS, gives you more XP, and sells for more coins.

Also, as Tiggerr stated, don't waste your precious diamonds to empty an RSS bin. Use them to increase the slots on your feed mills and bakery so you can use that wheat to produce more bread and chicken feed to sell. Then use them for production slots on your dairy and sugar mills (you need lots and lots of dairy and sugar).

Don't forget to visit that link Tiggerr gave as well. It will help you out immensely.

I agree with everyone on here, wheat is easy peasy lemon squeezy... The only time I buy wheat is when I'm not paying atention (yes, it happens ) and I am down to 1 or 2 in my Silo, or as a thank you to a friend that helped my boat, even if I don't need it When I am wheating I advertise it for 1 coin, it normally goes pretty fast, I've even gained temporary followers that seem to like wheat...lol I don't advertise very often, normally only when I have wheat to sell.

It seems your goal is to level up quick, which can actually put you behind in this game, 20 levels in 2 days is pretty quick, not impossible, but you could be leveling up too quickly. There are trees, bushes, land clearing, machines, barn and silo expansion that are pretty important to play the game. This game is not designed to level up too quick, you have your mine you have to open and your boat dock will be available for you at level 21, which will then be asking for boat orders to be filled... We all have been frustrated at some point, but I think you need to realize that this game is a lot more laid back and we like it that way There is no great conspiracy theory behind SC trying to stop your play, yes, they do need in game purchases to keep this game free and to pay all those lovely techs that are hard at work behind the sceens There are many different aspects to the game, take time to read the threads so you will fully understand all the wonderful possibilities to this game.

    Happy Farming

I noticed you've posted on the clash of clans site. Trust me just because the same company makes both games, it doesn't mean they are at all similar either in pace or personality. I have noticed a lot of clashers who are successful at that game, come over here and flame out. They can't figure it out or don't like that it isn't all fast paced and plunder. If I had a bolt for every clasher I friended and then un friended when they stopped playing, I'd be able to expand my largest barn. I have a friend who reached level 93 without spending a penny on diamonds. I made it to level 75 only spending enough to get the Christmas tree and hire tom for one day. I didn't buy diamonds to play before the button because I have fat fingers and lost them way too easily. I got to level 66 on my new farm and still haven't bought a single one. (Granted the 300 'Mother Goose diamonds might alter things but that's another story).

My point it that diamonds are not required or even essential like they are on candy crush. We don't need them to buy more levels....... EVER. We get them when we level up sometimes. They are helpful for some decorations and if you are so antsy that you just have to do it NOW!! You sound like someone who is like that. I predict You will need lots and lots of diamonds. You will get to level 24 and then quit. And go back to clash. Hay day is more BIG picture and long haul. It's like no game I have ever played. Some people won't like it, that's OK. There are a lot of games that go really fast. And they all sit on the last pages on my ipad because they ended and I don't play them anymore. This one sits in my dock because I play it a lot. And it will be there for some time I think.

I buy diamonds very often, my wheat sells fast, as does everything else I put in my RSS. But, then, I usually sell the wheat 10 for 1 coin. BUT I've also sold it for max price and at default price and several points in between. It sells. BUT as others have said, it goes in cycles as does EVERYTHING else in the game. Sometimes you get good stuff, sometimes you don't. Sometimes things sell well and sometimes they don't.

There are a lot of things that can affect sales...is there an event going on that can affect what you are selling, etc.

    Please make bread with it

Please, please make bread with your wheat! I know i sound like the Little Red Hen, but those bread boats are punishing, asking for 20 loaves per crate and I can never keep enough space in my barn or find enough in the newspaper. I would love to have a neighbour who sold bread consistently in his/her roadside stand. If you make bread, it will sell!
