Thumbs up What a hoax! Super Cell seriously?

Started playing 2 days ago and got the swing of things yesterday! I was farming wheat for wood and stuff. Once i harvested the wheat i would put it in my store and sell it, in a matter of minutes everything was sold, i was like lvl 12! Today i spent 5 bucks on diamonds and opened up a lot more slots in my store. Well i have been stuck for hours filled to the max with a store full of wheat that wont sell. After hours of nothing i decided to use some gems to clear a few slots and than in seconds a few things sold, than i hit a wall again and nothing sold. Im like ok lets try some boards and boxes of nails, i listed em and not a hit. Decided to leave for a while, upon returning nothing sold still. I even went out and got 30 friends and things still sat. Finally someone came in and bought up all the wood and nails but all the wheat sat still. The day before i couldn't keep the wheat in my store if i tried. ♥♥♥ kind of sniffer did you guys build in this game? Buying gems was a curse outta hell for me it seems. Has this happened to anyone else? I'm now lvl 20 and about to just call it quits. You simply cannot go from not being able to keep wheat in stock to not being able to sell any. I've read up on google and this did not just happen to me, free games suck when u fix them.

Wow that's pretty strong. A hoax? Seriously? Just because your wheat didn't sell immediately doesn't mean it won't later. Did you place an ad on it? Did you price it too high? There's more to hay day than just selling in your shop. You haven't even gotten into the fun parts yet. This is not a fast paced game. It is not like COC. Most of my wheat sells overnight to the people on the opposite side of the world. I have a friend with some 40 slots full of wheat at max and his sells, but yes it takes a little while.

I have been playing since last summer and haven't spent more than a couple bucks on diamonds and that was for Xmas decorations. So for me this game has been free, and it is great. Have you considered making bread with that wheat? Or feed for your chickens? There's more to the game than making wheat for expansion materials especially at your level. There is a link in my signature that goes to the New to Hay day board and tips for new people. Give it a look before you give up.

I also "wheat" often. I usually sell 10 for $10 because its the default price & its cheap sometimes it flies off the shelves, sometimes it sits. Sometimes it sits so long i start putting the next batches up for $1 just to entice people to my shop to get rid of it. The most important part of this process, imo, is making sure that every 5 minutes i place another ad on another wheat. Sometimes I have 6+ ads on my tiny rss.

Your language was pretty harsh. I understand you are frustrated but let me tell you something, we all get frustrated sometimes. It's how you deal with it that counts. If you just want to rant, throw a fit, and blame the people who make the game, that's your choice. But it's not going to solve anything. This forum is great for sharing our frustrations respectfully, celebrating our achievements together, and giving/receiving advice.

If this games not for you, it's just not. But I think if you take a deep breath, be patient with your farm, and post more constructively you may just enjoy it! Tons of us do and we are happy to help each other!

The mystical in art, the mystical in life, the mystical in nature, this is what I am looking for and in the great symphonies of music, the initiation of sorrow, and in the depths of the sea I may find it. It is absolutely necessary for me to find it somewhere." -O. Wilde

My wheat sells fine, always has and I'm level 66. I can't sell it full price though, has to be ten coins for ten. Some days it sells straight away, some days it takes quite a few adverts to find a buyer.
Normally a couple of people swoop in and buy it all.

I have never, ever had nails or other expansion items wait around for more than two ads. Full price or not.

And yes, I have purchased diamonds.

Take it from someone who's been playing almost from the beginning, this is just random. Tomorrow could be a great wheat day, or maybe not.

The best things to spend diamonds on are machine slots, especially dairy and sugar.

That is a coincidence. Us, the people who buy from your shop, do not know whether you bought diamonds or not. Wheat is so easy to come by that is takes time to sell. You need to keep putting ads on them so they keep going in the paper. If I sell wheat I always sell it in bundles of 10 for one coin and even then it can sit for ages but then eventually it does go. generally, when I've been wheating, I turn it into bread or chicken feed and sell Them in bundles of 10 for max price as that sells much easier.

Yes of course the game is for making money, however, nobody made you spend real money on diamonds.....I'm level 55 and have never spent any real money on diamonds, ever....

Nonsense! Did you even advertise your wheat? Wheat is very common in the DD so it doesn't sell fast. You probably came across a higher level player who needed 100s of wheat to fill a boat which is why your stock went so fast the previous day. I've been playing since September and am on level 65, only ever spent £4 on the game. This is an interactive game, the wheat is bought by real people, not by gamebots (unless it's tom or Greg but that's to do you a favour) so whether or not your items sell has nothing to do with how many diamonds you buy. Advertise every 5 minutes and your stuff will sell.

I think Melly has made the crucial point here - this was pure coincidence. It's real people on the end of whether your wheat sells or not, and if someone needs wheat and sees your ad it will sell. If nobody looking at your ad needs wheat then it won't.

The thing with wheat is that it takes 2 minutes to make. Compare that to something available later in the game that takes 7 hours to make, and really you're not going to buy much wheat unless you've accidentally run down to your last unit and you don't have time to sit there replanting it for 20 minutes to get your stocks back up. So it's not a reliable seller.

You're at a really early level in the game, and there's a limit to what you can make and successfully sell. Dairy and Sugar products are your surest seller at this point - make cheese and that will fly out.

Perhaps instead of complaining about wheat not selling when you place an add try selling goods that people will use. Wheat is an easy and quick crop to grow. Then again, why not make orders specifically for truck orders and harvest only when required

Fatmat, I have had the same thing happen to me, and thought the same as you: that SC had set it up so you had to use diamonds to get your goods sold.

Now that I've been playing the game for a little longer, I no longer have that trouble. My advice would be to concentrate on making and selling things that people in higher levels will need - milk and dairy products, sugar and syrup, chicken feed. Fill your spots with those, and regularly, and you'll soon find that you'll have a lot of followers, and that even things like wheat will clear reasonably quickly... as long as you price them fairly. As the others have said, wheat will rarely sell for more than 10 coins for 10.

Good luck to you, and please do stick around - this is a fun game :-)
