Thumbs Up Thank you Nick and everyone connected with making Hay Day the game that it is!

First off, I would like to express a really big THANK YOU to all the staff, moderators of this forum and all who are involved with the creation, operation and continued development of Hay Day! Your talent and imagination to put this all together is absolutely aMOOzing! I have no complaints or issues at all with anything. I actually look forward to server maintenance for the free diamonds and since I am on the game only a few hours a day, this usually happens when I am off at work or sleeping anyway. I also look forward to the updates and if the new items are not to my liking, or too expensive, I just leave them in the store to gather dust and maybe look at again at a later time. This game is a wonderful way to relax and pass leisure time. While I have coffee in the morning, I usually play for an hour or so before work and again in the evening a couple hours while watching TV with a cup of bedtime tea. But I can see how it could easily become quite addictive. I am at level 53, have all machines available to me, 3 horses, two dogs, 3 cats, two donkeys and 3.5 Million in coins. My farm is not connected to GC or FB. I don’t belong to a neighborhood and don’t do trading. Even so, I do have the initial 5 or 6 friends from the beginning of the game and 15 to 17 followers. I do enlist in Tom’s services, however and I like to play the Wheel of Fortune and throw Mystery Nets in the water so I do spend money on diamonds. I do like the anticipation of what the nets will yield and what things I can win on the Wheel. And I like to hire Tom so he won’t sleep his entire life away. I can certainly understand why some people enjoy being connected to other players. But for myself, if I were connected with others, even though anonymous, I might feel beholding to them to trade or help and feel guilty when I couldn’t or didn’t care to do so or if I were away for a few days. I just prefer to play completely guilt and pressure free for the relaxing enjoyment only, coming and going whenever I like – several hours a day, just a quick check-in or not be on for days at a time. Thanks again for your diligent work. Kitty Kat

Hmmm, another one who receives maintenance diamonds while not online at the time, while those of us who were on line don't. This really needs to be fixed, Nick.

Hi Katmandukitty & welcome to the forum
What a lovely kind hearted post. It's so nice & refreshing to read a post , (especially someone's first post ) with so many positive comments about HD.
Some people like to complain over the smallest things, yet others can turn a negative into a positive , like you ,my glass is always half full & never half empty . I too look forward to spinning the WOF every morning & find it quite bizarre that some of the items I have won I take an instant dislike to them, only to find a few weeks down the road I've taken them out of storage & found the perfect place for them on my farm .
I don't mind the maintenance breaks and welcome the free diamonds we receive & if we don't , well we don't ,nothing lost nothing gained.

I do hope you've managed to find the elusive pearl in one of your mystery nets.

Thank you for sharing your lovely game play with us .

What a lovely post. I'll make sure that Nick and the other SC staffers see this.

I did notice this though, "My farm is not connected to GC or FB." For your safety, you should take a few moments right now to create a GC account and link your farm to it. This way, heaven forbid, you lose your farm (device breaks, get's lost or stolen, someone gets into your game, some virus messes up your device, whatever), the link to your game center account greatly increases your chances of retrieving it relatively quickly on your own. Otherwise, you need to place a Support ticket and it could take several weeks to get your farm back. Even if Support help should be necessary, games that are linked to Game Center (or Google+ for Android) are able to be retrieved more quickly than farms without any anchor link.

Don't worry, having the GC account does not require you to connect with others. I had my GC account (linked to my game) for months before I made my first connection, so you can still continue to happily play on your own but with the safety net that the GC link gives.

Again, thank you for such a lovely and refreshing post. It's so nice to read something fully positive like this. I know The SC staff will be very happy to read it.

I too play to relax and no pressure. At present it is school holidays here and we have grandchildren staying so not much happening on the farm but it will be there when I get back.
Hope you continue to enjoy your farm experience and look forward to reading more of your posts.

I don't see how you can be "bad at Hay Day". Everyone has a unique way of playing . Over time we develop techiques that help thing go more smoothly, but we all make mistakes, and keep learning as we go along. Hay Day is a wonderful game that has made my life better. Keep on farming in your own way!

I agree with Cricks, you should hook up to Game Center to protect your game but seeing your level and your coins I can see that I just shop tooooooo much. Great job. And I love hay day too.

sorry you feel this way but like someone said above, there is no wrong way to play! If you need help, check out the new people threads or do a little searching online. There is a great, but not always accurate, wiki somewhere. If you have a question and are shy about posting publicly, feel free to PM me. Hay day is to enjoy!
"I've grown tired of the articulate utterances of men and things. The mystical in art, the mystical in life, the mystical in nature, this is what I am looking for and in the great symphonies of music, the initiation of sorrow, and in the depths of the sea I may find it. It is absolutely necessary for me to find it somewhere." -O. Wilde
