I wouldn't use a farming base in Clan Wars. It's meant to protect your loot against defence-led armies. Once you get into the black leagues and beyond you meet a lot of high hp non-defence led troops. The inherent brittle nature of ring bases is laid bare to these kinds of compositions.

I did a series of defences in Champ league which showed this quite well.
Thanks for your response! Really enjoying your farming ringus for my regular base. Do you have any suggestions for a th 10 clan wars base?

Find some defensive wizards in high level war clans you admire and keep tabs on their designs. clarkysd from Dark Sky and Predator from Exodias are among my favourites. You don't have to copy their layouts directly (although you learn a lot by doing so).

Peabak, your Ringus TH9 base was featured in a chief pat video haha... Besides the cannon messing up the ring, it's your design, so koodos!

    Take care!

    Ringus design in ClanWars

    Hello all together,

as I'm using the Ringus design for a few weeks already I can give an extreme positive feedback with the Ringus design for ClanWars - we've had a 40 to 40 clan war - I'm number 6 in our clan.

I've been the one and only player that has not been one starred! The cc kept 2 witches, one wizard and two archers.

The attack was held by the following units:
    - 3x lv5 Golems
    - 23x lv6 wallbreakers
    - 3x lv2 witches
    - 25x lv6 wizards
    - 3x lv6 archers
    - lv20 queen
    - lv23 king
    - 3x lv5 freeze spells
    - 2x lv5 rage spells

The golem ran around the ringus ... the queen and some wizards have been burned down in the middle... under great support of the cc witches!

The total destroy of the opponent has been 44%.

My base isn't maxed out so far... it depends on the troop combination that attacks you... pekkas in a gowipe combination will get two stars I think..

So far - great design - strong defences also as being used in ClanWars!

    Clash on and have fun!

    Hey Peabak,

Just curious how you found these two guys that you like for defensive setups. There isn't a way of finding some sort of leaderboards is there? Or did you somehow stumble upon them in a forum?

    Thanks

I'm not sure really. Word of mouth maybe? Predator in Exodias is well known for surviving in Champ league solely on defences. Dark Sky was a part of the Sky Family along with us in Azure so there was a connection there. There are many inspirational designers out there.

In the posted designs the x-bows are pointed upwards. Is this a worked our rationale and/or did this change later on?
