    Coc philosophy

I want to talk about the reality of coc. Coc is a game in which people spend weeks of their lives (yes, that is hours added up together) raiding, donating, foruming, chatting. It's a great game to play for a short period of time- raid here, post there. But for some of us, many of whom are on these forums, its more than just a side attraction. It is the ruling aspect of our lives. It messes up priorities, quickly overtaking social life, school/work life and many other aspects that should be a part of someone's daily routine. So that is what I'm going to talk about. A topic that desperately needs addressing. Is coc our saviour, a fun game that is good for those boring rainy days or quick hits if you're busy? Or is it a destroyer, a game that makes it so that every day may as well be a rainy day, or makes it so that playing coc is busy?

How many of you play coc or go on these forums, rather than spend time with family and friends? How many of you spend time with your family and friends, but are on coc while you are with them? Does that really count? How many of you, since you started playing, have slowly had your lives deteriorate, wasting, never living...

Maybe thats a bit of an exaggeration. So you still have personal lives. But have you felt a need to play? Thought that you can't do something because a building upgrade finishes then? If you act on those thoughts, thats when you need to rethink your priorities. Thats when you need to take a break from the game and get a different perspective on things. That, is when you need to quit.

I know some of you guys. You play hours a day, and within the game are legends. But what are you a legend at that will do you some real good in life? Do you prioritize coc over real life duties? Homework, for example? Are you becoming fat and ditching your exercise regime because coc is a bigger priority?Thats called laziness, and the game caused that. (I just let autocorrect finish that for me).

Just.. Have a think about whats really important to you in life. Organise your life back in to the right categories. Take a break. You might discover that really, you haven't been living.. All this time.. What does it mean if you have lego walls? What will that mean to you in 5 years, when the game will be dead or dying? Will you look back when you're older and think of all the great things you could have done?

Please remember. Do it for yourself. Coc is good in small doses. Good entertainment. A great game to hold for a few minutes to an hour. But don't let it hold you.

P.s- As some of you may have begun to notice, i am starting to frequent the forums often again. Yes, i am back. However, i have had a good look at priorities and, please don't hurt me.. i may have actually let a builder finish at 11pm rather than stay up unnecessarily or gem the stupid thing. There are other things around apart from coc. Take a good look at them and enjoy them while you can.

Clash on! Or.. don't. Depends how much this thread influences you and how much of a "Oh shoot I've got it all wrong" moment you have after seeing this.

    Does existence exist?
If not then clash's existence will seize to exist because the existence of existence is non-existent?

I play clash every day but in no way does it affect my social life nor my university work, when I have some spare time I'll play a couple of hours but if not I'll just log on to collect resources. A couple of my friends at uni also have clash so in a sense it can slightly enhance friendships! I can't imagine playing 6/7/8 hours a day as some people claim on these forums, that seems an unrealistic amount but hey, each to their own! I'll keep plugging away until I lose my love for the game, and the want of the elusive maxed TH10 base.

Sound similar to my attitude to the game.

    I learned a new skills..

    1. Balancing priorities in this inescapable digital world.

I was in the trapped of prioritizing COC. But some had change because I began to see what you mean, something imbalance in attending other responsibilities.

    My mindset changed.

It's ok to loose resources and trophies.. I don't blame myself.
I can leave COC for few hours or even days to attend other priorities.
Anyhow no one can even retain the top spot... Everybody will come and go.. So i accept the facts and shifted my mindset of keep on enjoying COC, the clan mates and this community.

I became very mindful with playing other online games too.. Uninstalled other games like COC copies, hayday.. I am not even bothering to install and try boom beach.

lastlly whenever I have continuos time to play why not... Enjoy it rather than wasting my time with drugs, ♥♥♥, alcohol, there is this alternative.

So now I'm advising other friends in my coping strategies to balance priorities.. Change of mindset i guess is important.

    2. I realized to learn other critical skills; gaining understanding the way online business have the capacity to succeed. The way youtubers like the big 4s could gain their respected seat and appreciated by the developers. The new business strategy of COC of looking the best concept from listening to their players etc.

    3. I gained many other friends which i dont know before, I met some great clanmates in person.

Also, we cannot categorize everyone playing COC to be what have you said although some might be.

Again enjoy, balance priorities, dont blame your self and learn new skills.

Is anything we truly ever do really important though? These are the big questions in CoC that we need answers to opie.
