    The two Supercell peeps who have posted on here have made it fairly clear, without giving too much away, that the new intelligent WB will not be cutting an easy path straight to heart of any base. Sure we may have to rethink our bases but that is no bad thing.

    The broad assumption that most seem to be making is that Supercell are bringing in an update that caters to the unskilled. What rubbish!! It does the opposite! The unskilled will not know how to defend properly and will still have problems using WBs correctly against a good base I will bet.

    Everyone is complaining that the devs are only after money. Of course they need to make the game as profitable as possible but you complainers are not thinking this through. Most of the profit comes form those who spend a few dollars a month not the few big spenders. Are they really going to bring in an update that upsets the majority of spenders, large and small both? I don't think so, they need to keep us with them.

    The devs have told us that this will improve things and make the game better. They also say not to judge otherwise until we have seen and played with what they have done. I for one will save any criticism until I know what the hell I am talking about. Complaining based on our own assumptions before knowing any proper facts is just plain stupid.

    The conversation was on a farmers viewpoint, not a cupping one. And yes you will get attacked even with maxed defenses however you can still go up on them. I have a close friend at 3300 that gains the majority of his cups via defense.

    The devs have told us..sweet.. they have also uploaded a video which pretty much explains how they are going to work, in case u missed that part.

    Are you kidding me? Of course I saw the video. Does this mean that the new WBs cannot be diverted or sent down a cul-de-sac, no it does not. You cannot base an assumption of a poor update on one 30 second video of a WB taking a different path to what we are used to. You will be trying to convince me that the sky is falling in next!

    I can't think of any way to actually defend against them though, complaining put aside for now, fake lines of walls won't work because they only attack if there's buildings behind it, spirals with one building inside will just be a huge waste of walls, and they can simply deploy barbs and destroy the building first (possible idea though?)

    And walled off single buildings is archer prone for the same reasons spiral is barb prone.

    I guess I'm flattered to be mentioned this way, but I highly doubt that this update has anything to do with me or any other farmer. And actually I'm pretty convinced that this update makes farming easier with the wb AI "fix" and allowing troops to spawn immediately on walls with the decoration nerf.

    I've seen the threads from new players complaining about wall breaker AI in the months I've frequented these forums. I have do doubt that the wb AI change is a direct response to those posts as the moderators have said.

    I have some worries that by making wallbreakers more foolproof, they'll also reduce the richness of the game and base design in particular which I've posted previously, but really I need to stop posting about this until we see the changes live.

    That is because we don't know what we are dealing with. I would put money on the fact that within an hour or two of the update somebody will have figured it out. The only real issue I see is if it takes far too many walls to do so. It may simply be that we are also to be given a new defensive update that can be used to help negate the little suicide bombers! Something like a decoy defence that you buy in the shop like the spring traps that takes one space and draws a wallbreaker to it if it comes into its zone!

    This hit the nail on the head.

    Farming certainly won't be nerfed, unless there is a rudiculous surpise with regards to loots or such. I will be interested to see the specific requirements for their targeting mechanism, though. The stricter they are, ie. the smarter, they are, the less base designing will be interesting and fun.

    I am really hoping that there are at least ways to fool them on some level, or else we will be moving towards standardized designs. I am definately holding out hope that this change won't be too drastic, especially with regards to base designing, but I do fear that some strategy is about to be removed from the game. I hope this just addresses a common concern and isn't part of a larger attempt to make the game "easier".
