    Seriously, shut up.
Well... There is a line in the center that is equilibrium, originally it was thought they would be too far to the overpowered side, in reality they are now too far on the underpowered side. What most were hoping for was something closer to equilibrium. So although they aren't overpowered they are still in error. Not that you will read this ...

Wow 62 pages....this must be an emotive subject, i've only read this one - personally I am REALLY glad they arn't perfect or my base would be toast, clearly they have quirks - i spotted quite a lot of bunching earlier when i tried them out - but i'll figure out how to use them better.

So not perfect but they wern't before, just a challenge...and i like challenges

The first target was the first box. The second target was the two layers of walls, there were three layers directly in front of the deployment spot that were closer.

I agree that there are other box points closer to spawn, but I'm still unconvinced this means wallbreakers know how thick walls are. I do think it means that wallbreaker targeting isn't as simple as closest wall to spawn. I could be wrong, but given how attracted they are to T-branches, I'm more inclined to think that it interprets that corner as being deeper on the T rather than that the walls are actually thinner. I don't want to be too dogmatic on this point though. It's possible I'm wrong and they actually do know how thick walls are.

First thing everyone should do in my humble opinion is to stop using them in a way you used to. Then you will find out a bit better how they work.

It's pretty clear how wbs work. They are magnets to boxes. The implications of this are also abundantly clear in terms of base design.

I like the new AI. Sometimes it works out better. Sometimes worse. It's certainly not the massive game changer some people feared. You cannot just drop 8 wbs without thinking and penetrate to the core of any base. I've raided with the new AI about five times now. Only once did I see any really bizarre, unexpected behavior. Three times the new AI was better. The other time or two, not much difference.

Now an excel spreadsheet is the best design tool, it already has the grid laid out for you

    Agreed.

Just treat it like you are starting this game afresh, and you do not know how wall breakers work.

And just simply "try" them out, see where they go, and maybe you will find a pattern or figure out how they think.

Attempt a 3rd raid. so far so good.

Isn't that what we pretty much said/did about/with the old AI? This update was supposed to make them "smarter", I think it is reasonable that we bring up areas where their intelligence doesn't shine through since this update was supposed to fix issues with lack of intelligence.

if the answer to these issues is "deal with it" I would have preferred we stuck with the old AI.

    It's not that there better

It's not the fact of being better or worse they don't work like they showed in the video that's for sure.i took 6 breakers normally 10 thinking I wouldn't need as many and the increased space they take up.Tried them an watched as two went galavanting across the map in diagonals nowhere near where I launched them from. Then two more attacked each side of the wall I already blew up.i can tolerate the inconsistency as long as they take up one space.
