    After trying new AI...

    Wanted to try the new WB before having any opinions about them.

    After trying them, I prefer the old ones. Why?

    Because it still takes 2 level 4 wallbreakers to break through gold walls. However, with the new WB, that would be 4 spaces, which, if you knew how to use the old wallbreakers (as with any troop in general), 4 old WB would get you through 2 sections of gold walls. With the new update, it still takes 4 WBs to get through 2 sections of gold walls, but costs you 8 spaces. That's 4 spaces that could be used for gobs, archers, barbs, what have you.

    I'd rather have double the amount of "dumber" troops than half the amount of "smarter" troops since it still takes a minimum of two level 4s to break through gold walls.

    I think it's highly unlikely that it knows the wall is thinner there. It picked the closest location on the box from the spawn point and ran there. Targeting is obviously separate from patching as other locations are a shorter walk distance.

    Yeah, so the problem with the WB AI is exactly what I feared and predicted in the WB thread, you can no longer drill/tunnel, which makes it much worse. So now you need 18 wbs to accomplish what you could before with 6. Oh, and they take 36 space instead of 6. With skill you may be able to reduce this slightly, but nowhere near what it was before.

    In the base above, an X is a wall and an S is an open space. In this base, normally you would be able to get get in the middle with 6 wall breakers:

    So you could get in where the 3 Z's are. But with the new AI, assuming you release them from the same spot, I think it will try to be "smart" and go for the nearest enclosed wall section:

    I hope I am not correct in this theory, but I fear it may be based on the limited youtube video. If so, the new AI would actually be worse than the old AI. If it doesn't support drilling in a straight line from where you launch your wall breakers, this is going to make the AI worse. Add to that the increased space and you may need to use 4-6x as much space in wall breakers to accomplish the same thing you could before.

    We want the old new AI back,SC you care about newbies can't handle with old AI but still those newbies have o learn how to use ,actually is those new Ai rly suck,

    Posted my feedback in the wrong thread apparently...

    Hate the new AI. The only problem before was that they were too easily fooled when they had a direct path to a target wall, and in some cases there was no way to direct them where you wanted them to go even though their path was unimpeded. They don't need super intelligence, they just need to be able to walk in a straight line.

    The new update makes them pointless. They will now target 2 brackets of a box before they move to the interior, thus causing you to have to use more. In a lot of cases, they don't proceed to the inner sections because they are targeting different brackets in sections of the base that you aren't trying to penetrate.

    All this means is that you have to use more of them to do the same thing as before, yet they take up twice the space, so that's basically impossible.

    Back to the drawing board please. There still needs to be some "skill" involved rather than you just making them heat seeking missiles to wall joints. The player still needs to decide which path to try to take to penetrate the base... All that we need from SC is giving them the ability to complete that task without an exploit making them go in crazy directions. Nothing else was a problem, and the approach taken really does "dumb down" the game a bit and really accomplishes nothing.

    Also, this entire situation clearly supports my request to supercell for more feedback from staff about ideas that they are planning to implement. There needs to be discussions about things that you see as needing to be tweaked or changed, as you clearly missed the entire point of every player's complaint when you've referenced this issue as being a "common complaint". A few pages of discussion about what changes actually needed to be made would've saved Supercell a ton of work from programming new AI that doesn't work, and also wasn't needed (and doesn't address the original complaints)

    The first target was the first box. The second target was the two layers of walls, there were three layers directly in front of the deployment spot that were closer.

    What a waste of an update

    Gotta say there not as bright as I thought they would be they hit side walls an run in diagonals.i popped a wall an then let another off an it hit the same wall that was open,I expected it to go in the base an blow next wall but it didn't an I let another off an did same on other side of hole then two went in diagonals across the map.Dont know if this is the place to post about update in general but it wasn't worth the wait in my opinion.

    they should only take up one space also.
