XBow has a high range, why keep it so close to margin? I would swap them with Burger King and Archer Queen "bed".

The point remains that if all defense were distracted i.e. the attacker times his wb deployment correctly, it takes 3 break-ins to reach the core. The attacker can just deploy wbs at the corner n they will penetrate layer by layer through the corners.

I had mixed feelings about this proposed update having just recently redesigned my base with spikes etc. However on attack it all makes sense. How frustrating is it to begin your favourite attack on a fully loaded base only for your WBs to go off in some spectacularly random direction?

I am very familiar with the current AI, have practiced against spikes, open walls, double concentric walls, edges, corners you name it but the biggest problem for me is the results are not consistent. They will do one thing one day and something else the next and that is as frustrating as HELL.

I keep myself in the 1250 trophy range and look out for the "double double", 200k+ for both gold and juice. So when you eventually find one after a LONG time searching, it is unbelievably frustrating for your WBs to simply fire off at a tangent to their "usual" direction. I am typically using them prior to taking out air defence and if I can't get to that, the attack is basically over....

So roll on the new WBs, I won't mind if they're not TOO clever, so long as they are more predictable...

    Screwd.

    Did I read this right?

    - IMPORTANT, a bit unrelated thing, but goes under the layout umbrella: it will be possible to deploy troops to that 1 empty square your Tesla might leave (block it with buildings)
    - Wall Breakers will go after walls that have something behind them (so spikes won't work, since they don't have anything behind them)
    - When you tap a wall piece, you'll have a button which will let you move the entire row

If someone has made a thread about new layouts, share it here
Did I read this right? People will now be able to deploy troops to 1 empty square?

This is nothing new. They are just making it so that the space left by a tesla in a 3x3 square can have troops dropped in it now too. Basically if you see a hole you can drop stuff there.

    Upcoming changes:

This doesn't make any sense to me.
    1. There ain't much advantage to begin with even with sea of flags, you can only covers 1 side at most. It is the important reason for people to buy flags and protect a weak side. It adds some strategy in defense and make sense. People who spend all the money buying all flags and decoration are ripped off and feel silly.
    2. With this change, not only the decoration are all of sudden useless, people will be deploying units now on decoration since you cannot obviously put traps, bombs over decoration. Making it disadvantage for ones not realizing it.
    3. Can troops walk through my flag poles??? That would be odd! Or are you deploying over flags but walk around the poles???
    4. Can troops be deployed over the face of my King and Pekka stature too? Really?! No respect???

I am joking around 3 and 4 but really think developer should reconsider about this change. I am excited about everything else though. Keep up the good work!

Its not odd once you know the theory behind them

    Let me analyse for you.

From the video, the bottom side of the base is 3 layers thick.

So the New WB AI is able to detect which area of the base is the weakest, I.E shortest path to the base.

So no matter where you deploy along the top right corner of the base, they will "homing target" into that dual layer of walls.

And now the splash radius of the wall breakers have been improved, hence even if people wan to create bunker base, they must have atleast 1 space inbetween the first and second layer walls

Horrible update. All you did is to change focus from walls to corners. Yes, it's spikes effiient, but it's horrible in the terms of drilling through a base. Also, two space in army camps? The wallbreakers are acting like potatoes. It's not about learning the new technique to use WB's - it's about this update being a huge step backwards. Revert the update, and next time have people beta test major upgrades.
