Okay, ignoring all the flame wars sparked by old "competitive" threads, I'm here to propose a new method to determine the best farming clan.

Just want to clarify to everybody, this is a friendly competition, just screenshot and comparing/counting the total number of members in the clan who has both achievement 3 star. No need to debate whose base is better whatsoever, just simply :

Which clan has the most players with both achievements 3 starred and do not have the tag labelled "New" on them"

Simple as that

You guys know about this achievement "Gold Grab" and "Elixir Escapade"?
Where it will be a 3 star if the person steals a 100,000,000 gold and 100,000,000 elixir

Criteria for Winning the title "Best Farming Clan":
The clan with the highest number of members with the achievement "Gold Grab" AND "Elixir Escapade" 3 starred = best farming clan.

Rules: Members with the "new" tag cannot compete to ensure fairness that the member is not "newly" added for the sake of this competition

Note: There is also the DE achievment called "Heroic Heist", has anyone 3 starred it yet ?

Think this is the best and most peaceful method

100 million is not that much, especially for a "top" farming clan. They would need to record much larger numbers to determine a true victor. There is no real metric for settling this matter (at least yet), other than looking at bases side by side and one by one.

Totally agree with you Zach...pretty much any full time farmer has done both the gold and elixir long ago.

Hmm.. can also consider "Heroic Heist", the achievement for farming DE, but lets see how it goes.

But then all you would be doing is measuring the most balanced clan. By that system, a clan with 49 members that have raided, say, 120 million of each on average, would be ranked higher than a clan with 40 members that have both achievements and have raided 250 million each on average. This would need to be a weighted total, because of the possibly large ranges between the "best" and "worst" in a clan. Perhaps you should just solicit base pics of all the members of any clan that cares to compete.

btw, regarding bases, I'm not sure if you have read the thread at strategy sub forum, but I was chatting up with Illy regarding his box base, and its not easy to compared 50 bases of EACH clan, and to determine which base is "GOOD" or "BAD", as there is no straight answer for "strength" of base.

So this 2/3 achievement is a definite way, as compared to "comparison of bases"

There is no such that as a "Base ranking" counter.
How do we determine whether the base is a 10 point base or a 5 points base ? By the amount of spikes the base has ? By the amount of segmentation he has ?

yeah, the current achievements would not prove a thing for long time farmers.

I know it wouldn't be easy,or even objective, but it would be the only way. Achievements are limited, while base strength isn't (save for the power gemmers). There is no complete farming statistic, so any direct comparisons between clans would need to be visually based. I know it wouldn't answer the question at hand, but I think it would be the best option that is currently at our disposal.

(And good and bad, would be sheerly by gold spent on upgrades. Yes, it would be extremely time consuming to calculate, but that is how you would have to do it. There is no "easy" way to do this. And I do not actually expect this to be done)


Edit: I think your point about Illustris was adressed in here anyway, so I won't comment much further. My big point is that farming clans can't be reasonably compared at all.
