Probably will begin my push in a month because I need to get all level 8 walls.
Good luck! For what it's worth, only about 160 of my walls are skullies, the rest are lvl 7. Definitely doable without finishing them. Besides, most serious attacks you get that high are balloons or hogs, so walls aren't a big deal if you aren't wanting to stay in that trophy range. You could be fine if you're just pushing up there for a few days and dropping again afterwards.

Nice thread! If you use an anti hog base you can get a lot of trophies but thats only if you don't want your resources to be lost.

Without spending hours a day and countless amounts of gold nexting, no. People have done it, but the cost has been a bit high I would imagine (time spent, gold spent, $ spent on gems for shield, etc.).

If I were on a push and saw a TH6 anywhere I would wipe them, and so would anyone else. TH outside or not, you'd be a sitting duck every time you log out.

Thanks man. I'm actually pushing the old fashion way now. I am testing a modified version of ringus and hope that my experience with it was different than my last trophy base. I still expect the TH outside route to be easier, but we shall see!

Last trophy push i made it to 2754 trophies by letting my TH outside too.

That's of course one mandatory reasoning when trophy pushing as TH9: having your TH inside will make you get almost no defence win, and getting 1-2-3 starred depending on how good is your base and how lucky you are.
By letting your TH outside, you make a deal: you have high chance of getting 1 starred, no chance of getting def wins, but also very low 2 and 3 starred.

That definitly works, and yes, you need high base for it.

Thanks for posting this strategy! I think I'm finally ready to attempt my first M3 push.

My TH9 base is fully maxed on defense, except for the walls. I have 2/3rds legos, 1/3rd skulls.

On offense, I am fully maxed except for golems and valks, but I don't plan to use them at all during this push.

Will probably try to bloonion my way up to M3, since my elixir is overflowing anyway.

Do you mind sharing what offensive strategy you used? Thanks

Sounds like you're more than ready! Balloonion will get you there for sure, especially if you're crushing the premies that snipe your TH. It's an easy 30-40 cups each time and you don't even need spells.

In response to your second post, here's how I balloonioned to M3:

    24 balloons, 50 minions
    3 rage
1 lightning (to kill cc troops when needed)
Arch, Wiz, Minions, and/or Drag in CC (which I mostly used to kill AQ, so I don't waste minions)

I completely agree with this strategy. I have my TH outside my base and still just got TH sniped at 2685 trophies yesterday. Even high lvls in master may save their army for another follow up raid and just use queen to take ur TH and by doing so have 2 attacks in a row. Also, boosting your heros, spell factory, and 2 barracks normally allows me to run 4-5 good, strong armies with a 2 hour boost time limit. This is crucial to climb higher

    Current Clan: Dark Raid
    TH9, Lvl 105, WALLS = 20 lvl 10, 33 lvl 9, 197 lvl 8
Barb King lvl 15, Archer Queen lvl 15
    Trophy Record: 2816
