Yeah mate.

The game itself is like a main course meal, Clan Wars is like an optional side dish.

I'm just bummed out so far the entire focus is completely fixated on a side dish. I'm more interested in the main meal.

Don't get me wrong Clan Wars is a nice side dish, but it's still a side dish nevertheless.

Side dish? No, I believe clan wars is a game changer. This is a great addition to the game.

Only GoWiWI/GoWipe has any chance to 2 star another strong TH10. The problem is I think everyone will design their base to defend against that. And that is all we are going to see attack. People that are really skilled at ballons/barch will not be nearly as important as the guy who can 2-3 STAR with GoWiWi. Since a single 3 star with GoWiWi is worth 3 one star raids with balloons. Guess I need to start practising with GoWiWi.

The loot bonus for winning is going to have to be reall high to justify everyone in your clan cooking that expensive army twice in a war. Even a 300K bonus is kind of mediocre for cooking that army twice. Even worse since CW seems to be in all or nothing affair. Winners gets a semi decent bonus, looser gets zip.

All good points. I don't think it will be a profit center. I think it will be a nice change of pace from farming all day every day. I'd like to see a clan wars leaderboard similar to the current top clan leaderboard. This system has the potential to be much better than the trophy system, and should replace high level trophy pushing (hopefully).

True, one thing I think would be cool is if they placed a total limit on how much a clan could spend in a war. LOL, like in major league sports. So it would bring in more tactics and different armies. Not just through GoWiWi at every base.

I imagine not every member of every farm clan has maxed golem/witches. Just need to see how it turns out. Lol, I will not start complaining before it is even out.

Hey everyone, i brought some cheese to go with all the whine in this thread. If you don't want to participate in clan wars the way are set up, then don't!

Personally, i never finished the goblin campaign as i found it to be boring, but i never complained about single player and what should be done to fix it.

Much like the goblin campaign, clan wars is optional. Participate if you want, abstain if you don't like it, just stop complaining about optional content. I understand complaints about the build time bug, loot, balance of offense and defense because these are things that effect every player. Complaining about OPTIONAL content such as clan wars boggles my mind.

Something else springs to mind about the timing of all this. There is a new CC right? At 7 mill? And likely to be a 14 day build time? possibly.

And the update will introduce the new CC at the same time as Clan Wars. Hmm...My guess is that this has been cleverly put together to encourage hundreds of thousands of people to gem their CC to six asap. Every other update has been like this.

My concern is whether Clan Wars was initiated by developers or accountants. I have no doubt it will be quite an event for CoC, but only because it will make an awful lot of money. Which I have no issue with, just one of those things.

There's nothing for players who would like to play defense only - no bonus, and cannot gain stars by not attacking.

The formula accounts for all clan member bases so you do not have to go up against maxed town hall 10's
