I imagine SC will not answer detailed questions about how matchmaking is determined because it will be used by some clans to chëat more easily.

I expect rampant chëating in the first few weeks or months of gameplay and changes/tweaks by SC to help prevent clans from chëating by doing thing like adding level 1 alt accounts to their guild to get easier opponents.

It would be used by clans to exploit the loopholes if adding low lvl players allows you favorable clan wars. That being said, i would expect that if they are confident there are no loopholes, they will provide a little more insight on how it works

Are we getting anything else besides Clan Wars and the Gem Box? (AI improvements, new levels of something, buffs/nerfs etc?)

No, we are just getting Clan Wars, Gem Box and other bug fixes.

I just hope we can get the specifics. My clan is doomed if every eligible aspect is considered equally, and I imagine many other clans will likely be destroyed as well. I don't understand the reasoning of daily sneak peeks for clan wars, bit of an overkill in my opinion. We have waited a while and yes, we can wait several more days, but everything should be explained all at once.

I just have 2 questions after watching all the videos from the youtubers about Clan Wars:

1. Is the number of participants fixed at 10 members per clan? Or can the leader/co-leaders select any number of war participants from their clan?

2. Will there be an improvement in the Village Edit mode where we can save different layouts, so that players can switch between a "War Layout" and a "Farming Layout" very quickly (instead of editing the entire village or build a hybrid base)?

Is there anyone who can answer these questions that have ACTUAL information rather than guesses? I have a lot of guesses myself but I'm hoping I can get definitive answers for this as well. I'm also curious as to if defenses in our 'war base' are upgrading if our regular base is upgrading defenses?

please release some details about how it works. we have all been waiting ages for this and you just keep dangling that carrot and not giving anything. the video was good but it didn't give us anything about how it would work. we all already knew that it was coming so it wasn't exactly a sneak peek.

c'mon give us something.

you say you have already released it to apple so you know exactly what is in the update. why not just release it all like you did when you did the sneak peek sprint a few months back.

All bases in clan wars are fully functional on defense, there are no "inactives" per say from everything we have read so far. Also there are hints flying around about being in crystal league for your base to be able to even compete or count on your teams available players. In the video it says you will be matched with another clan by the amount of players in your clan rounding down by fives. So a clan w 46 members would match with w clan w 49 members but not with a clan of 44 members.

On matchmaking: Leader will take the clan to war and the clan will be matched with a clan of equal strength. You cannot decline a match, and as soon as it is made, the preparation phase for that war will start. Not only can you not pick what clan to match with, you can also not decline a match that has been made.

As said in other posts, leaving a clan means you will have to wait a fairly long time period before being able to participate in a Clan War again. This cooldown was intended to prevent unfair behavior in Clan Wars.

Oh I see what you mean, but Simon Tay said the war layout will be a clone of your village before the war starts, which means you probably won't be able to edit the war village in the friendly territories, instead you need to modify your layout in your normal village for war. Is this correct?

If correct, then saving layouts in the Village Edit mode would be super helpful!

that is what i was thinking, saving different villages would really save a lot of time instead of having to constantly switch between a farming or pushing base, and not everyone likes transformer bases.
