Is it worth upgrading to townhall 9?

Hey guys, I wanted to ask whether it was worth it upgrading my Townhall 8 to Townhall 9 before maxing it out.
Currently I'm Halfway there to maxing it...I've done all the cannons, mortars, the archer towers are lvl 9, the wiz towers are also 1 level away and All my troops are upgraded.

I wanted to upgrade because usually I'm a farmer, but now I really like trophy pushing and I want to go like master 1 or so. As a TH 8 I made it to 2757 and I believe that with lvl 6 troops I can do even better, especially with balloons and minions after my balloons get to lvl 6.
So I wanted to ask you guys if its worth upgrading or not? and if it is, which troops should I upgrade first for a trophy push to master 1.

max loon really help. I couldn't pass 2600 with level 5 loons, but with level 6 it took me 2 days.

You won't have defense wins and people will still destroy your base. But at least you will have the fire power to get to master and beyond.

I suggest upgrading loons, giants. The rest is up to you.

As for not waiting to max TH8 before goind to TH9, it's up to you as well. If you have the 6M for the two x bows and the elix for your lab upgrade, I don't see why you couldn't upgrade right away if you are ready to take some loss in defense.

You mentioned all your troops are upgraded, that is the most important part.

You would be fine to upgrade to TH9 so long as you are ok with not winning many defenses or being able to protect your resources very well, especially when you are up in high crystal and for sure in masters.

either max defense or walls before upgrading to TH 9.

Thanks guys! I'm used to losing defences and resources with all the pushing lol. I have max elixir all the time now So I can get my lab upgrades started quick and I'll farm some gold for the xbows as well while the TH is being upgraded.

As a TH9 you will be 100% in M1 regardless of walls or defences.

I would honestly say to jump to townhall 9...you can do 2 lab upgrades, and bump your troops up 2 levels on th 9, and stay in trophy range of 1400-1800, but once your at th 9 stay there til its maxed, big jump from th9- th10

Agree. For TH 8/9 to fare in master league well, gotta be offense (and the occasional th sniping).

All you need are defenses one level from max it's not a big deal.

You should max the troops/spells you use today and the troops you plan to use for cupping.

You should also max wiz towers and mortars. ( to fend off barch attacks) All other defenses should be at max minus 1... At least. .. Preferably also max your archer towers ( good range - shoot air and ground troops)

max your army camps and DE barrack ( for real cupping you will eventually need golem/witch.. But no real need to unlock drags and pekka in all your other barracks.

max walls are for sure NOT needed.

Before to go and upgrade th... Make sure you are today comfortable to farm fellow th8 and th9. ... Because after the upgrades.. Th7 will be off the menu...

Ps: if you follow the above, farming at th 9 is not a problem at all!!!
