Lightbulb Town Hall Destroyed Penalties/Attacker Buff and Defense/Attack View Suggestion

    Hello,

Seeing as the game within the game is ruining my experience, I'm talking about the players who are farming others by keeping their trophy count low, I'd like to make a couple suggestions.

Anyone who is new to Clash of Clans would assume that the Town Hall is an important structure that needs to be defended. Currently, to get ahead in the game, it's quite the opposite. Many players intentionally put their town hall outside of protection for a couple of reasons. I assume it's to keep their trophy count down as well as put a shield on their village by players who go for the low hanging fruit.

    1. You should make it that when a Town Hall is defeated that the rest of the defenses are either dropped in level or rate of attack slowed significantly OR the attackers gain a boost like the Rage effect for the remainder of the attack. After all, wouldn't the morale of the defenders be lowered and some possibly fleeing or the morale of the attackers be raised? **Another option would be to cause Clan supplied units to flee** This would make it easier to defeat the fools who put their town hall out in the open and defenseless. Isn't the whole point of the game to defend your Town Hall?? There must be consequences for losing it.
    2. On another topic. I find it annoying how Attack/Defense viewing works. If I want to be able to view someone I am planning to take revenge on I have to go into the "Mail" screen and look at the defense log and then "Visit" them to see how they are laid out and then go back out to the home screen and then choose to go back into the "Mail" screen and attack them. You should put a Revenge button on the village "View" screen for players it is available for. You should also allow us to cycle through other villages from the "View" screen instead of having to go all the way out to the home screen and then back into the mail screen. In the very least you should have the "Mail" button available on those screens.
    3. I would like to keep at least one more option of layout in memory when I am building a new layout even if it was just the previous layout if you decide you want to go back.

I really have no interest in farming or manipulating the system. I just want to kick player's asses please.

    Thanks.

Farming is part of the game, you cant get rid of it. Besides, the loot penalty becomes greater as you attack lower TH levels. If somebody wants to farm, that is their choice. Besides, it would be very difficult for the game to decide if people are intentionally leving their town halls outside. There are a lot of terrible bases out there that dont have walls or have holes for troops to spawn in. Cornered bases could also be a problem. I hope you understand how difficult in can be to save enough resources for upgrades when you're trophy pushing. Shields only last for so long before somebody raids you and sets you back. I often found that while trophy pushing, my resources would remain stagnant everyday. I would get attacked, and then recollect what I lost from my mines and pumps. But I rarely profited from just collecting resources. You should really be mad at noobs who just zap your DE and leave.

    Which definition of fantastic?

    http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/fantastic

    fan·tas·tic

    [fan-tas-tik]

    adjective
    1.conceived or appearing as if conceived by an unrestrained imagination; odd and remarkable; bizarre;

2.fanciful or capricious, as persons or their ideas or actions:

3.imaginary or groundless in not being based on reality; foolish or irrational:

    4.extravagantly fanciful; marvelous.

    5.incredibly great or extreme; exorbitant:

    I think 1, 2, 4 and especially 3 apply here.
    Definitely fantastic features!

I don't like your ideas much sorry.
    1 Breaks farming
2 Minor, it would help but there must be better things to bother with coding.
3 Suggested again and again and again.

No offense but none of what I have heard from any of you is really substantial. Yes, I will admit, #3 was more a vouch for an idea that was likely already suggested. You got me there!... I'm not trying to claim "first" on the idea here... You guys strike me as having a rather childish approach to squashing peoples suggestions. I can only hope that SC does actually read these suggestions. I'm sure if you spoke to SC and suggested simple UI changes that would make a better user experience for players they would not consider it a waste of coding... You must envision SC strapped for resources or something. You do realize they passed the $3 Billion mark last fall right?

Some of you have obviously embraced farming as "part of the game". That's fine.. I can see the satisfaction you get from manipulating the game towards whatever end you think is "fun". If you take the time to watch the actual intro to the game you'll see that it outright tells the player to "PROTECT THE TOWN HALL". The idea of not protecting it is ridiculous.

My first suggestion is a solid gameplay fix that penalizes people trying to game the game but also provides a basic incentive to protect the Chief and people of your village.

Bigeez had the most substantial complaint but my solution has nothing to do with detecting where the TH is placed. If a TH gets killed then the penalty/buff is given regardless of where it was destroyed. Put it right smack dab in the middle and protect it the best you can!

Another debuff idea for when a TH is destroyed is to allow more loot to be stolen than normal for the remainder of the battle. Although I prefer the weaker defense or buffed attack more.

Once again, this is a good idea but will ruin farming with your TH outside and make a lot of farmers quit the game. And please don't bump your threads.

Not protecting the town hall gets the fools who think that farmers care about trophies- SMART farmers put their town hall on the outside so attackers will go for the easy trophies of destroying it instead of going for resources.

Who's the fool in this situation? The fools, or the fool who falls for the foolishness?

I didn't bump the thread... I added new suggestions. Would you prefer I just make one post and continuously edit it hoping that SC comes back to a thread and re-reads it to see if there was changes?

Julezwatts - The game becomes foolish. As I already stated the intro to the game specifically tells you to protect your TH. By continuing to use a system that encourages you to go against the fundamental thing you are supposed to be protecting is ridiculousness. What king or chief would stick their town hall and people outside of the protective wall to be slaughtered?

I don't get this nonsense about how it will ruin "farming".. The people who are farming are the type of people who are trying to avoid having to work hard to accomplish anything right? I'm pretty sure that equates to people who don't like to pay for anything either aka no money for SC. If I'm using farming to get all the resources I need in an easy way then why would i have to pay to get ahead in the game??

Adding more importance to the TH would certainly change the dynamic of the game in a much more reasonable fashion by encouraging players to try to destroy the TH as a goal. Kill the chief.
