This is just my opinion.

Look to Boom Beach and you will see what changes could be coming to Clash of Clans. In Boom Beach you get a diamond or two if you defend your base, I can see that coming to this game. Also if you can destroy someones Headquarters you win automatically, that I don't see coming, but it could in some way. With the searching feature in Boom Beach you don't have a "unlimited" amount of people to attack, they are just there and if you want more targets, you have to upgrade your radar or wait for more to appear. This is something I think could be add to this game. Now instead of hitting next to find an opponent you look at a map and scout the person, and then choose to attack or not. If any of this is true I don't know. I don't really want some of the changes I have stated, but with what I am reading and hearing from "people in the know" these seem more possible than other major changes.

Currently trophies have no in game value. In an effort to make them worth something I'm guessing they have added a feature, not unlike other similar games and Boom Beach, where trophies/leagues provide some bonus. For example making your way to Crystal I gives your troops a 4% attack bonus, Crystal II might provide a 4% bonus to defensive unit's firepower, etc.

Or not unlike Boom Beach, destroying a TH might give you a reward item. Gain enough of these and earn some kind of permanent bonus.

I'd bet the farm that Clan Wars is not in this update, but that this is the new game changer that the YouTubers are speaking of.

Yeah but now we are talking about 2 separate things I think... resources and clan wars. I have a feeling clan wars is going to be based on trophies. That will lead us to the same dilemma as we have now... trophy push or farm... but change trophy push with clan wars.

I would love to see a game plan that would up the ante for protecting your TH... but I have a feeling that aspect of the game will not change. You will have to pick... clan wars/trophies or resources... and how things cost to upgrade at TH10, I know which path I will choose.

If this is true I think the best Idea is to work 100% on defenses and heroes until then; you can easily work on walls during a push it's just slower.

If I wanted to play Boom Beach... I would go play Boom Beach. I think they will make changes to the system they have in place now.... just not enough to make people quit this game completely. They cant get away from the core of COC or it wont be COC anymore. There is plenty competition for individuals gaming time on devices where they better think twice about alienating the people that made this game.
