I just got town hall 8 and i made this: http://imgur.com/FmsjO3K
The things that are upgrading are air defense (bottom one) and dark elixir drill.
As you can see there is a builder hut surrounded by walls, to distract wall breakers.
Than as you can see when there is giant fullening in the top air defense, cannon and archer section, they will get to the last archer tower and than will go trough the traps.
And there are 2 fake teslas spots (need to build one more) at the bottom of the base.
Watcha people think? Good base?
