Level 6 minions - worth it?

Is worth it to upgrade lvl 6 archers? Lvl 4 x bow? lvl 6 light spell? Maybe not but the purpose of the game is to maxed all your base to be unbeatable. So, not sure if it worth 100k DE but yes I will upgrade them one time or another.

That's why i ask, should I wait and use my DE on hero's or .. maybe it is worth upgrade minions asap!

If you're pushing to champ you should probably stop upgrading your heroes until you get there. They make a huge difference in every raid.

Yes, the upgrade is worth it. I'm not going to throw numbers at you, but think of the archers lvl 6. Were they worth it, even though they were getting 1 hit killed by mortars still

Any increase will help and improve your chances but personally I think the final minion upgrade is the most expensive & smallest increase of all the units, theirs a huge difference in the final upgrade of all other units, but even a maxed out minion is getting killed in one shot by any air attacking tower.

They can withstand more hits from the noobier bases archer towers up high ( maybe no top end masters, unless you get lucky searching ). Any small amount of dps, HP, is helpful.

Maybe not worth 100k but.. They're lvl 6 minions dude.

Also I see a couple of people mentioning about stopping upgrading heroes whilst pushing to champs. Couldn't agree more

You may just need them that 1 battle at 3199... What if they weren't there at 49%, no cc no Thor... Nothing

If you look at numbers alone it may look like a small improvement. +4DPS and +6HP are like nothing, but remember that minions take only 2 housing units and meant to be used as a swarm. Sure, they'd still get one-shot by an air bomb (of any level) and level 2+ air defense. But think about real battle scenario. Loonions for example. If you have 28 balloons and 50 minions that follow behind that. Chances are they won't take any damage at first and can destroy junk buildings faster (significant too because of high numbers) which means they can help those balloons take care of the defense towers faster too which, in turn, makes those balloons stay alive longer. Hence, better chance of success. Get the idea?

Worth it? Yes.
First priority? No.

But if you raid a lot with minions and already have 100K DE at hand, go for it. You won't be disappointing.

I have level 6 minions.


Durability wise, you'll only notice if farming in lower ranges and picking on bases you'd crush either way (now you'll 3 star them instead)

Attacking power wise, there is a noticeable difference. This means a herd of 20 minions is doing 80 extra DPS every second they are under cover fire. Nothing dramatic but if you're farming in masters I'll get you that extra couple of percent you need for a win.


Is it worth it? Yes, its just not a particularly good bang for your buck.

Not worth the 100k cost for sure though. Their stats should be higher.
