Buying coins in the store vs. buying just what you need to purchase something?

I use gems to buy things and if you don't have enough coins/elixir your prompted to finish paying with gems.

Is there a difference in the amount or quantity buying just to finish vs. buying the full amount in the shop store. Basically is it a better buy in the store vs. buying just the amount needed to purchase or finish an item

I think buying in the bulk will give you more resources; buying 4m gold will cost less than 2m gold. However, I am not sure because maybe it calculates the ratio exactly for you so it's the same in store as it is when you're buying the missing resources. Either way, I recommend not buying resources with gems because it's expensive and instead just boost barracks to farm the resources.

So in conclusion, I think it's cheaper to buy in the store (fill the storage if you can to get the most out of your gems), but buying resources is expensive overall and it would be better to invest a bit more time to farm it. Afterward, you can gem the upgrade time if needed.

Buying the full amount is better. For example if you have 2 4m gold upgrades, buying 8m from the store is better than paying via the upgrade screen (4m twice).
