I'm trying to get to 3000 cups and possible beyond and I have tried balloons so far but risk of failing is high and overall this is not a reliable army. I got stuck at 2900. What is the next best option? bare in mind I don't have maxed heroes and cannot sustain a whole dragon raid continuously.

Actually balloonion is the safest.
What's your TH level n troop space?

I'd still suggest loons, otherwise would be barch.
If resources n time is not an issue for u, try gowiwi.

Gowiwi will take a bit too much time and use of all spells, for more it works better with high level heroes, imo you should keep on trying with balloonions switching em with hogs, coocking gowiwi overnight and barch when you are low on res.
BARCH is the best, honestly. As long as you find the right base BARCH is guaranteed a 1 star win (sometimes 2 stars if you're lucky)
