this is not unique to CoC. this is common in every multiplayer game
despite the fact that women make up almost 50% of gamers, men refuse to believe this and are still shocked when they find out there are girls playing. this does not make it okay
like the others said, dont feel obligated to stay in a clan, leave if you feel uncomfortable.
there are mature and respectful clans out there.
and i would recommend avoiding global chat too...
Why do women feel the need to draw attention to the fact they are women with their IGN etc? The gaming community is immature at the best of times and drawing attention to the fact only compounds the problem.

I hope you find a clan that treats you and every girl with respect, I suggest you don't go into global as there are only trolls and immature people. That said I wish you very well.
