Where Is The Respect?

I understand that this game is mostly dominated by guys, and teenage guys at that, or young adults who are... guys. But seriously, where is the respect for us girls, man?

• We're always attacked in global chat. If your username sounds like a girl, 'are you a girl?' 'join my clan' 'any girls out here?'
• We're attacked in clans where you'll ask us uncomfortable questions
• We get asked for our social sites and a normal guy ends up being some possessive creeper

You'll think this only happens in global chat with 15 year old guys, but this happens to guys in their 20s, 30s and 40s as well. I mean seriously, creepy much?

Am I being punished for being a girl? Should I pretend I'm a guy? I would change my name to a less girly name but I've already invested a lot of time in my account. And besides, I don't want to pretend to have a life I don't. I want to create working bonds with my clanmates where we can have decent conversations about our lives yet remain respectful. When you play this game a few hours each day, that's not too much to ask, is it?

I agree. I was on global yesterday, and everyone was attacking this girl by asking her very personal questions but also for personal information. The funny thing is, it was norsk.

Mute the trolls in gc, and if someone in your clan is harassing you about that then leave. You're better off somewhere else where you can act yourself, not the fake self.

etc...
It's annoying. Solution- mute button, or just don't go on global.

Lots of great people in my clan are girls! Think the disrespect on global is terrible! But I suggest you don't go on global

It sounds like 12 year old boys are ruining it for you and I observe a lot of it myself on global. You can trust me that there are a bunch of "normal" people out there who wont beg you to join their clan or ask awkward questions.

I'm really surprised by the clans I have joined to be honest! Maybe I'm just really unlucky. This one adult clan I joined, there were a few guys my age (around their 20s) and I was constantly asked about whether I had a bf, where did I reside in, etc. Then another where this guy was in this 20s as well and he started getting really possessive about guys who talked to me, kicking them out if they asked for me? These were in clans and not globals and done by guys who were not teenagers anymore. I may be the unluckiest clan searcher around.

And I do agree, I think generally people in coc are extremely nice! I've read tons of posts in coc forums, replied to some, etc and generally everyone seems like a bunch of friendly and respectful people. Thumbs up for that!

For one, global is worst for starting any meaningful conversation. Even people who frequent it know. Almost everyone goes there just to troll. So, unless you're in a trolling mood as well, don't bother going there.

If your clan has attittude you disagree, it's better to find another. Look up in the forum's Clan Talk section for fun clans. Don't be afraid to left a clan. It happens. It's hard finding suitable clan for you, like finding job in suitable company. The key is, don't worry for a change.
