Should I move from TH8 to TH9? (Not the usual situation)

I know, I know. Most ppl say to completely max all your defenses before moving up a th, something I've been going by. Just hit th8 about 3.5 weeks ago with everything from th7 completely maxed (except collectors).

Here's my situation. During the first 2.5 weeks of th8, I completely maxed my level 8 walls along with my barbarian king to level 10. The past week I've been sitting on near maxed storages every night before I sleep, upgrading defenses here and there.

So far, I've maxed mortars and wiz towers only. Three air defenses are lvl 5, cannons are lvl 9 and lvl 10, and I havent touched archer towers at all.

Most of the troops that I usually use are maxed.

Question: should i start th9?

Most people advise to not jump ahead due to loot penalty, but with my level of activity, I feel like it won't be too big of an issue. Thoughts?

EDIT: THANKS for your inputs guys. I'm starting TH9 tonight. Will be working on maxing my DE storage until then!

I'd advise reading sharonsym's thread, its very interesting, and it has about the same place as you, it's called th7/th8/th9 premmie journey. Don't do this when you get all lvl 10 walls at th9 tho. The loot penalty is too severe. But good luck! 2.5 weeks for all skulls is very impressive. Adios!

you're wasting your time, don't wait any longer

you loose 5-10 million everyday which you can farm and invest on future walls...

said you're not doing any TH9 upgrade, but just doing TH8 upgrade and wall....
1. you still can farm 5-10 millions a day instead of sitting with full gold begging TH9 to destroy you.
2. you will not loose 270K each time Giants Lv.6 visits your base, but the most you will loose is 1K of TH snip

Yes upgrade right away. The amount of money you raid a day will add up so dramatically over a few weeks. Since walls are an uphill battle and gets harder each town hall i think you feel regret or if you dont. Any penalty can also be helped with higher lev troops as people have said

Im in exact situation you were in a few days ago. Now im currently upgrading to th9.

Upgrade now.
Keep in mind that most of your first upgrades at TH9 will be elixir upgrades. You'll want to go into TH9 with full collectors and then you can keep up your excellent work on the walls.
I was the exact opposite, I had upgraded everything (BK only lvl 8) but 1/2 walls. You definitely would do yourself a favor by moving up. This isn't the case with TH10 though. Think that one through very carefully.
Oh, BTW, screw that loot penalty, move to Gold II or I and it's fine.
